Review: This business sells water purified by their own reverse osmosis filter system, allowing you to bring your own containers to fill. Clients pre-pay $20 + to get the best price per gallon. I pay $50.00 at a time. I have gotten drinking water here for over 20 years, but find it necessary to discontinue drinking it. When I went in for a refund of approx $33 left on my account, the clerk did not know how to do a refund, told me she'd find out and call me, which she did promptly, informing me that the owner charges a .15 cent per gallon restocking fee on my .40 per gallon account, & there were approx 80 gallons on account. I complained that there was nothing to restock, and that almost 40% was excessive especially with no written, or spoken notification of a refund policy charging a restocking fee. She had the owner, [redacted], call me to discuss it further. When he called me, he was rude, and abusive. He stated that he had "software fees" to cover with the restocking fee. When he asked me why I was cancelling I explained that based on a recent Network News story I heard, I researched where drinking purified water long term caused health problems, and that I had been experiencing some of the symptoms for over 4 yrs, with many Dr.s and blood tests. When I stopped drinking the water, the problems ceased. He became abusive, said then hire an attorney and sue me, accused me of "making up" my health issues, that I was lying and that the fee stood. Shocked at his response, I told him that the money was certainly not the issue, but it the principle. I explained that I was not attacking his business, knowing that it is his livelihood and that I only wanted my refund, and would he waive his fee for customer services' sake since I had been a client for so long. He was unyielding and rude. When I learned that he is required to post a refund policy, I returned to the store to take photos showing that there are no posted notices of refund fee, nor do their receipts have such policies.Desired Settlement: I would like the full refund, which I will donate to Samaritan's Purse charity--because truly, this is no longer about the money, but the way I was treated. What I would like is an apology, which I doubt I will get, so I will settle for him receiving an education in ethics, integrity and running a customer centric business.
