Water World Fiberglass Pools, N.E., Inc. Reviews (24)

Review: Our pool was installed & fully paid for this past spring (2013). Waterworld still owes us installation of tile around the top inside edge of the pool; as well as installation of a safety cover & closing of our pool. We have made numerous phone calls and emails requesting this work to be done. We still have no firm date for the tile to be installed. They claim they can come out "sometime next week" to close the pool, but we have been told that they were coming before and so far they have not shown up. I have no confidence that they will show up next week either.

In addition the Waterworld Rep ([redacted]) advised us today that they don't even have our pool cover & they don't know when they will get it. They are proposing to cover our pool with a tarp held down by water bags until next spring.

I am fearful of damage from freezing should they not close the pool soon.

I am also concerned that the "tarp" will not be adequate protection from either a safety prospective or in regards to keeping leaves/debris out of the pool over the winter.

I am also fearful that Waterworld will file bankruptcy and/or go out of business before delivering the porducts (tile & pool cover) and services (installation of tile & cover & pool closing) that we have already paid for; especially because when I indicated that I may consult an attorney, the Waterworld Rep ([redacted]) warned me that this may "push them over the brink" & that I would get "nothing" if they go out of business.Desired Settlement: I would like Waterworld to immediately deliver the products and services that we paid for 6 months ago.

In the alternative I want a check in hand to cover the cost of obtaining these products/services from other vendors.

Review: After entering into a contractual agreement with Waterworld, as well as paying $29,000.00 out of $30,000.00 for a turnkey installation of a Waterworld pool, the company has failed to complete the install. This is further exacerbated by Waterworld missing or skipping out on scheduled construction dates agreed upon by the consumer and Waterworld. Waterworld has also failed to communicate to the customer when the crew neglects to show up to do work.

I believe that now that Waterworld has received most of my payment, they will not complete the installation of the pool in a timely manner.

I also have a log of communications with Waterworld in which they have promised certain aspects of the construction to be done at certain times and they have not fulfilled their end of the contract. I can produce these logs if requested by Revdex.com.Desired Settlement: Waterworld has a responsibility to finish this job in a timely manner. They have a responsibility to contact their clients when there are delays, not vice versa. The client shouldn't be waiting around for Waterworld for days or weeks without hearing anything from them. We have no confidence in what they say, nor do we feel that they have a desire to compete the job now that they've gotten their money. We are worried that the pool installation will remain unfinished as Waterworld has been unresponsive.

Review: IN JUNE OF 2013 WE PURCHASED A 13X29 FIBERGLASS SANDSTONE POOL FROM WATERWORLD.WITHIN 1 WEEK OF INSTALLATION WE OBSERVED 20 HAIRLINE CRACKS IN THE POOL.OUR CONTRACTOR [redacted] ADVISED US TO NOTIFY WATER WORLD OF THE PROBLEM AND SET UP FOR A SERVICE APPOINTMENT WHICH WE DID.WE WERE ADVISED BY [redacted] @ WATERWORLD IN DECEMBER OF 2013 THEY WOULD ADDRESS THE PROBLEMS IN SPRING OF 2014 WHEN THE POOL WAS OPENED AS PER THERE SAVED EMAILS SENT TO ME. IN APRIL WE OPENED THE POOL AS DIRECTED & MADE 3 APPOINTMENTS WHICH THEY NEVER SHOWED UP TO REPAIR .FINALLY ON MAY 6 2014 A SERVICE MAN SHOWED UP TO FIX THE PROBLEMS BUT WAS NOT ABLE TO CORRECT THEM & ADVISED WOULD RETURN IN SEVERAL DAYS WHEN HE HAD MORE TIME. THREE MORE APPOINTMENTS HAD BEEN MADE WITH SERVICE & WITH THE OWNERS SON OF THE COMPANY WHICH THEY PROMISED US THEY WOULD BE HERE BUT NEVER SHOWED UP OR CALLED US .MIND YOU WE HAVE TAKEN OFF FROM OUR JOBS & LOST SALARIES FOR ALL THESE MISSED APPOINTMENTS.AFTER SPEAKING WITH THE OWNERS SON [redacted] REGARDING THESE PROMISED APPOINTMENTS ,THAT WERE MISSED HE RESPONDED BY SAYING I DONT KNOW!AT THIS POINT WATERWORLD HAS PROOVEN TO US THEY ARE NOT A RELIABLE COMPANY & DONT STAND BEHIND THEIR PRODUCTS . IF THIS COMPANY CANT FIX THE PROBLEMS WE HAVE WITH THIS POOL ,THEN REFUND US THE TOTAL COST WE PAID FOR THE POOL & INSTALLATION FROM [redacted] OF $42000.00 & WE WILL PURCHASE A POOL FROM ANOTHER COMPANY THAT WILL STAND BEHIND THEIR PRODUCT. WE CAN NOT WAIT ANY LONGER TO RESOLVE THIS PROBLEM .WE ARE MORE THAN READY TO HAVE OUR ATTORNEY TAKE THIS MATTER TO THE NEXT LEVEL .PLEASE ADVISE US THANK YOU [redacted]Desired Settlement: FIX THE PROBLEMS OR SIMPLY REFUND US OUR INVESTMENT COST

Review: I entered into a contract with Waterworld for a "turn key" pool, that included LED lights and a safety cover for the pool to be winterized. Water World has failed to provide the safety cover, provide working lights (they never provided the transformer) or winterized my pool. To save my bigger pool investment, I incurred an additional $1120 cost to winterize my pool and buy a safety cover from someone other than WaterWorld. I have no idea how to fix my lights or what kind of transformer I even need to use if I wanted to install myself (I even offered to install at my own costs). The entire experience with WaterWorld has been a disaster. We experienced 20 to 30 bold face lies (i.e. we will be there tomorrow), dubious contract provisions (i.e.half up front, 25% when pool arrives and 25% when complete (I have email) which was changed at the last minute to 50% upfront and then 50% when pool arrives. I note the original contract was "lost" and I had to sign another one to get my pool (I.e. we will deliver tomorrow if you sign contract). I note when "pool arrives" there is so much left to happen. I can't help but remember [redacted] simple reassuring remarks when I signed the contract - "you are in good hands". Not true. Once they get your money, you are should be prepared for months of misery, lies, and to call often and be disappointed. I signed my contract in March and its November.Desired Settlement: I want to be reimbursed for the costs of my safety cover and winterize the pool ($1120 - I have invoice) and I want the transformer for my LED lights so that they work.

Review: In February we entered into a contract with Water World Pools. We paid the down payment of $22,000 in April. In June, they FINALLY came to deliver the pool and we paid another $22,000 for the final payment. Their brochure and they told us, " it take 7 to 10 day from start to finish." Well we had to hired a pool company to come out and close our pool so the pipes don't freeze They said they never saw a mess like this. NOTHING has been completed, the pool is a swamp because it sat there for 6 months. Water World pools is unable to complete the job. They owe us our slide, diving board, salt water filtration pump, 2 safety covers, 4 deck jets, entrance latter, chemicals for opening and closing, easy 1 touch pump system, heater pump needs to be service as it does not work correctly, reimbursement for the other pool company closing and a credit of $1,000. In addition to work not being completed, every week they would set up an appointment and never show up. Between me and my husband we lost 5 vacation days waiting for them to come out. They never called to say there were not coming. They kept saying they promise they will be out next week.Desired Settlement: We want Water World Pools to honor their contract and make us whole again.

Review: We hired WaterWorld Pools to construct a pool in our backyard and paid a deposit of $17,000. We were not able to obtain the permits from the town. The contract states that we are entitled for 100% refund in this case, but they are not paying the refund. There is no dispute at all whether I am entitled for the money - the company never denied it and on 3 different occasions promised me to pay, never arguing the fact that they owe the money. The problem is that they are not doing it and I am not sure if will ever do it. Here are additional details:

Jun-29/2013: [redacted] (the owner of the company) came to our house. We both signed the contract for pool installation and I provided deposit check for $17,000. Between other things, [redacted] explicitly stated the following: "if there is any issue with the permits the deposit is fully refunded" (and he showed to me the relevant line in the contract).

Aug-10/2013: It had been 6 weeks since we started the process and the necessary papers, to satisfy the town engineer were not yet ready. I sent to WaterWorld's email (both company's and [redacted]'s private email), a requirement to terminate the contract and, as we did not obtain permits, to get 100% refund of the deposit, as per contract. No response was obtained.

Aug-23/2013: I talked with [redacted] on the phone. He said that the check will be sent within a week. His exact words were: "The check is on my table, I am looking at it and will send it to you next week".

Sep-3/2013. Talked with [redacted] on his personal cell phone. [redacted] again promised me that I will get the check this week, His exact words were: "it will be taken care of this week"

Sep-10/2013. Talked with [redacted] (secretary) and she told me that the check is being prepared will be mailed within 2 days.

Sep-17/2012 [redacted] apparently answered the phone, but when I stated my name, he pretended that he is a different person and said that he would look for [redacted]. This was acknowledged by [redacted] (secretary) immediately after the conversation.Desired Settlement: I expect them to send me the check for the full amount of $17,000 as soon as possible.

Review: I contracted with Waterworld on October 13, 2010. A year passed for Installation to begin because I

was having my house built. The pool has never worked properly . There have been leaks since installation. I had a leak detection

company come out to assess the problem an d they confirm that the leaks are underground and caused from improper installation. This was done by American LEAK DETECTION.

I was also not properly explained or demostrated on how to use pool equipment which caused pool heater to fail and go bad.

I have tried on several ocassions to have problem resolved with company and owner, [redacted] but no success or resolution.Desired Settlement: Repair leaks and replace heater. Properly install pool for immediate use.

Review: I have attempted to get a crack in my pool repaired for approximately ten months. The service has not happened although I was told I was on the schedule two times. I never received any phone calls telling me that the service would not happen on the dates it was scheduled for. If I don't call the service department I have no way of knowing if they are going to come to my home to do the repair. There is always an excuse and I don't know where else to go for this type of repair work.Desired Settlement: I want my pool repaired without further delay.

Review: I gave a deposit for a pool on July 29,2013 and have been given the run around ever since. My final decision was made on October 8, 2013 to cancel the project and ask for my deposit back of $8,000. As I read other complaints against this company I am concerned they are having financial problems and would like to rectify this situation as soon as possible.Desired Settlement: $8,000. for deposit

Review: Purchased a fiberglass pool with complete installation from WaterWorld ([redacted], NJ) in July 2013. Owner, [redacted], told us complete installation would take 7-10 days. Hole was dug & pool was dropped in the ground - payment made in full - by early August. Fought daily to have the filter installed, electric & gas completed, etc. Excuse after excuse... pool incomplete and never swam in it. In October we were finally able to winterize & cover the pool to prevent the waterlines from freezing. The pool failed final inspection for electrical issues - NO GFI in breaker panel. It is now Apr 25th - I had ANOTHER appointment for them to make the electrical repairs and have the pool opened. Once again, no show... no call. I called 2 hours after scheduled appointment and again... excuses. I paid in full for a pool in July and it is still incomplete and we are unable to swim in it. The owner- [redacted] - has not returned any of my phone calls or messages to him since July.Desired Settlement: I want the electric breaker fixed and my pool opened - as promised & scheduled for today (4/25/14).

Review: The pool was installed and left with surface scratched and cracks on the pool. I was told that waterworld would come back out to finish the job and repair any blemishes. This began in 2011. I was told that in 2012 "[redacted]" would come back and finish the job. Numerous messages have been left with no repsonse. By the end of the summer of 2013 I was told that "[redacted]" left and there is no one available to fix the pool. It is now 2014 and I can not get a hold of the company. I have paid over$ 35,000 for the pool in cash and I am still waiting on a completed job.Desired Settlement: I would like the pool job completed and an response from Mr [redacted] the owner or his son [redacted] who was at my home overseeing the job

Review: call last year for warranty, told us they would take care of cracks in pool come may 2014.made a appointment and never came then never got back to us now phone disconnected.Desired Settlement: want repaired if not by them by a reputable pool company

Review: The business failed to deliver a product that was part of the original contract. The business failed to provide a pool cover for the job at my home. I have made dozens of phone calls and emails with no response. This has been going on for 4 months.Desired Settlement: Send me the pool cover as agreed so that I don't have to go out an buy one before the freeze

Review: Purchased a 12 by 25 pool with 3 Led pool lights. Lights did not work, and all phone numbers at waterworld are disconnected.Desired Settlement: Replace damaged lights or at least answer the phones which seem to have been disconnected.

Review: Contract not honored while money is collected, none of the work is completed. [redacted] made many promises to complete the work, he collected all the money that was asked and refuses to do any work. What was done is all defective and needs to be removed and redone. Refund is indictated immediately. Employee advised that [redacted] failed to make a payment to cover company and they are not going to complete their part.Desired Settlement: [redacted] made many promises to complete the work, he collected all the money that was asked and refuses to do any work. What was done is all defective and needs to be removed and redone. Refund is indictated immediately.

Review: I have contacted Water World Pools about 3 weeks ago around June 16th no answer all numbers online and in contract are disconnected. Contacted the business that's in place of where I originally purchased the pool. Its now called [redacted] and they have had this location since 2007. They had no information on WaterWorld Pools. I have a warranty with them for 50 years and now I need my pool fixed and cant find any information on this company.Desired Settlement: I would like my pool repaired or compensated for the rest of my warranty due to I will have to fix put of pocket

Review: WE CONSTANTLY TRY TO COLLECT MONEY FROM THEM FOR SERVICES WE RENDER. WE KEEP THIER EQUIPMENT RUNNING SO THAT THEY CAN PRODUCE POOLS. WE GET THE RUN AROUND ALL THE TIME. THEY HAVE ANOTHER PAST DUE INOVICE & WE HAVE COME TO FIND OUT THAT ALL OF THEIR PHONES & FAX NUMBER HAVE BEEN DISCONNECTED!Desired Settlement: PAY YOUR PAST DUE INVOICE IMMEDIATELY!

Review: Every year our fiberglass pool cracks in the same area. Water World has come every year but last to make the necessary repairs. The pool is approx 16 years old. Every year except the past 4-5 yeas with the exception of last year (they never called back-too busy), the repairs were made for a $200 fee. Repairs are done to the same area each year. Initially they states they were too busy to give a time frame when they would be out and now state unless we are losing water there is no guarantee they can come to it's not covered unless we are losing water. They claim the prior years was a courtesy and if they come now they have to charge a different rate to be calculated. The recently hired service manager was also very unprofessional and beligerent. The rules/requirement change with each call to them. MOst recently the service manager was very unprofessional and calls were not returned as promised.Desired Settlement: I am attempting to avoid a catastrophic flooding situatuion to my home. If the warranty language is correct, they voided it themselves by setting a prescedence and doing the repairs annually for $200 beyond the 7 year warranty. I would like the damage repaired before the pool is closed for the season. I am fearful if this is not done, this year the cracks will expand over winter resulting in extensive damage and the loss of water they say they require to come out. I am attempting to mitigate the the situation.

Review: purchased 16'x43' fiber glass pool which arrived unannounced a week late.[redacted](the seller) agreed to pick up costs for the crane, skid loader, and water to fill pool, to make up for the delay. since there was no notice of pool arriving ,it was only possible to get 1 water truck containing 5000 of the estimated 14000 gallons the pool requires. water world paid for the crane, loader, and the water truck.I was told by the installers to fill the remainder of the pool with my municipal water source (hose).since I have not received my water/sewage bill I am not aware of the total cost to fill the pool, and hope I will be compensated. the pool requires a concrete ring to be poured entirely around the pool.to do this I purchased from water world a cantilever form system. I made mention of this form not being delivered upon the pools arrival. and I was assured by deliverers and by numerous calls to water world my forms would be shipped to me directly. after I waited over a week without receiving my form ,I was able to talk to[redacted], who promised to have the forms to me by Monday 7-8-13.the forms showed up on monday minus 24ft of the foam form materials.I contacted water world who told me they would contact me to let me know why I didn't receive all the forms.7-10-13 I was told by water world that I received all the form I needed. the box of forming materials which arrived contained everything but 3-8ft. pieces of the foam form .I was told nothing could be done to resolve the issue , and that it was my fault.Desired Settlement: to receive my forms as soon as possible ,so I can get pool concreted, fenced, and be used by my family .and for water world to accept responsibility for the situation.I want no hard feelings between us and hope it was all just a simple mistake.

Review: ON May 28th, My husband and my self went to WaterWorld to purchase a built in pool.We had had looked at many venders, and decided to see what water world had to offer. We sat down with a sales person named[redacted]. We sat with her and went over many of the details. I had brought all of our paper that we needed, such as our property suvery. they said that they would take care of all the paper work, including permits, and anything that is needed. they guarantee that this is an easy job, and we had plenty of room. and would be done in 7 days.they said that they would be by our house june 4th to survey the land, at this time they asked for a $16,000 down payment. I did not have that at this time , so the owner of the Co.[redacted] said $ 8,000 now then another $8,000 on June 4th .Well [redacted] did come and we gave him the 8.000 . now to find out that he said we needed a variance . I had asked before I gave him the first $8,000 that is this pool does not happen, will I get my money back. In bold letters on contract it states "deposits is 100% refundable if the homeowner cannot obtain permits. So now they are holding my 16.000 ,with many phones calls, they finally sent a check on 06/14/13 which bounced. then again made many phone calls , then on 07/01/13 the second check came , and again that bounced. Now we cannot get in touch with them. All I want is want is mine , no service had happened my husband and I worked very hard ,and is very upsetting that someone can come along and try to scam people. So please if you can help us I don't know where else to turn.Desired Settlement: I just want my money refunded,
