Review: HELLO :

I PURCHASED FROM [redacted] ' ON LINE A WATERS EDGERESTAURANT DINNER CERTIFICATE FOR FOUR AT $125.00 ,THAT EXPIRES ON AUGUST **,2015.

AS I CALLED WEEKLY FOR THE RESERVATION ,I WAS ASKED IF I HAD A CERTIFICATE ,THEN I WAS PUT ON HOLD AND LATER TOLD ON "ALL" OCASSIONS, ALL KIND OF EXCUSES FOR NOT HONORING THE RESERVATION.SUCH

AS WE HAVE A PRIVATE EVENT THAT DAY ,WERE ARE FULLY BOOKED ,NOTHING AVAILABLE ,WE ARE TAKING ONLY LUNCH RESERVATIONS (KNOWING THAT I HAD A DIINER CERTIFICATE )AND SO ON.....

THIS HAPPEN FIVE TIMES ...F.Y.I. WHEN I CHECKED WITH THE ONLINE RESERVATION SYSTEM CALLED "[redacted] " THERE WERE MANY AVAILABLE RESERVATION OPTIONS FOR THE WATERS EDGE REST .???...

I CALLED [redacted] TODAY AND SPOKE TO THE CUST SERV MR MATT AND HE OFFERED TO REFUND MY PURCHASE ,PENDIND A RESOLUTIONS DEPT INVESTIGATION.

I FEEL THAT THIS RESTAURANT IS INTENTIONALLY REJECTING CUSTOMERS WITH HOPES THAT THE CUSTOMERS WILL GET TIRED AND FRUSTRATED TO DISCARD THE CERTIFICATES AND CASHING ON THIS MANNER.

IN THE MEANTIME .[redacted] AS OF TODAY IS STILL ADVERTASING FOR THIS RESTAURANT PROMOS ON LINE ,TO FURTHER ENGAGE CUSTOMERS IN A FALSE ADVERTASING CAMPAIGN .

WATERS EDGE IS VERY UNCOOPERATIVE AND IS NOT HONORING THE RESERVATIONS ,AND THIS IS AGAINST THE [redacted] POLICY .

PLEASE ADVISEDesired Settlement: [redacted] TO DISCONTINUE A FALSE ADVERTASING OF THE SALE FOR THIS RESTAURANT .

FULLY REFUND ALL UNUSED REST.CERTIFICATES PURCHASED BY ALL [redacted] CUSTOMERS

Review: Scheduled our wedding this past summer for Water's Edge in Long Island City in June of 2016.

After recent occurrences at the venue, we are disappointed because Water's Edge is unable to fulfill on the original proposal for the following reasons. We'd like to request a refund on our deposit that was paid upon booking.

Water's Edge recently closed due to the staff walking out. Employees stopped being paid once the owner was arrested for bribery & fraud, among other things. We have no interest in associating ourselves with ownership or faith that they will fulfill any original commitments.

There is a barge parked in front of the window covering the view of Manhattan which is the only reason we chose this location. This barge/renovations of the pier had to be known at the time of booking and were never mentioned during the process.

We've already been through 3 employee contacts in 5 months, including one woman who had been there for 30+ years, which does not leave us feeling confident in any of the staff sticking around long enough to provide a positive experience.Desired Settlement: We would like our $5K deposit returned in full immediately.

Review: On June *, 2015 I attended a wedding at Waters Edge and valet my car. At 11:45 I came out of the event to be told by the valet and manager that my car was involved in a incident with a truck and my hatchback was damaged and my rear window was shattered. I was told many times that they would pay for all of the repairs and for my rent car.My car was dropped off at a repair shop on June [redacted] and my insurance company was informed of the accident. My insurance company was told there the catering hall would cover all costs. It took almost two weeks for an adjuster to contact the repair shop. During those two weeks the repair shop was calling the catering hall and there broker. It took another few days for the adjuster to see the car and 4 days to approve the repairs. Once the car was done the catering hall had a letter sent to me which they told me I had to sign. It released them of all liability for the accident. If I signed the repair would be paid for but not the rental (30 days and $1,200). As of July [redacted] I have not seen one reimbursement check and have personally paid 4,333 to repair my own car. My insurance company is attempting to get reimbursed for the renal.The catering hall does not return calls or emails and the owner will never get on the phone.Desired Settlement: Full payment for the repairs which I paid out of pocket with interest. Repayment to my insurance company for money they paid for e auto rental and a formal apology for how they ignored my issue and let it drag on for over 45 days.
