My review is based on a one and only experience with Watercraft Adventures Laughlin that will assure I never recommend or use their services again A planned vacation to Laughlin and the surrounding area for days started with a hour jet ski rental from Watercraft Adventures Laughlin Having never used a jet ski in this location or rented from the business I inquired to what the rules for use and cost associated with the service were, the associate at the front desk was somewhat helpful but a stand in manager over heard me and advised me to take advantage of a hour rentalThat being said I signed the rental agreement with the front desk associate who did not go over with me the terms and conditions of the rental and authorized a $deposit and paid $for a hour rental I was directed to the dock where another associate inspected and signed out to me the rented jet ski along with life preserversThe ski was used by myself and my son for hours and returned During that time neither one of us used the rental in any way that would damage it paying close attention to what can be described as a rocked filled riverbed at the location of the rental office and the area it was used in and prevented injury to ourselves or anyone else The jet ski was inspected once again after returning it by the associate at the dock who previously signed it out and much to my surprise was identified as being damaged The stand in manager looked over and measured the damage to the hull(fiberglass bottom of the ski)which was the only identified damaged area I believe the damage was caused by striking the rocky riverbed bottom and not having seen or inspected the bottom of the jet ski myself prior to using it was unable to say the damage was there before I rented it At that time I was shocked to find out the deposit of $would not cover this damage and that I was responsible for the repair to the hull at a price of $a square inch! There being approximately $worth of damage! The stand in manager at that time said he would have to call his manager and get her authorization on how to proceed We went to the office and I overheard him speaking on the phone with his manager describing the damage When the stand in manager finished speaking on the phone to his manager I was told the cost of the rental and damage to it was $He then told me I could pay or he could call the police At this point I sincerely felt that I had fell victim to a scam of the worst kind A rental company that takes advantage of uninformed vacationers and doesn't verbally disclose costs associated with their services and warn of the damage that is likely to occur as a result of the area the rental is being used in Needless to say the police were not called and the fine print of the contract I signed left me liable I will never use Watercraft Adventures services again or any rental services associated with them and will certainly warn anyone of the risks of doing business with them
