     The paint on a vehicle in no way has to be anywhere close to "perfect" for us to perform this service.  We actually specialize in paint correction of modern vehicles. This customers vehicle had clear coat failure.  When the clear coat has failed, any abrasives applied to that paint system will cause even more damage. The service purchased by this customer would have caused new damage to the already failed clear coat.  We have explained the clear coat failure, along with all options we can provide via an expired third party coupon voucher to this customer.  Before the  third party coupon voucher expired, we could have issued a full cash refund through that third party company.  However after the expiration of that coupon,  the face value becomes a store credit. We cannot give cash back for store credit per the coupons conditions. There are multiple services and products this customer can take advantage of with this expired voucher.

Review: I purchased a certificate from Simi Deals for Exterior Detail Plus Interior Vacuum and Light Cleaning for $44 at Watershed. There was no warning in the description that Watershed would not perform the detail if you have an issue with your paint job, and no one warned me about this when I called to make my appointment. I made an appointment for the car detail. When I brought the car in, I was informed that they would not be able to perform the exterior detail after all because of a problem with my car's paint job. At the time, the original deal was expired, however per the terms and conditions, you can apply the purchase value of the deal towards other services at the business once the deal is expired. Since the company was unable to honor the deal, I asked for a refund for the amount I paid. They refuse to refund me, instead offering to perform an interior detail instead. I am not interested in having an interior detail; I want the service I paid for. I believe it was false advertising for them to sell the exterior deal on Simi Deals without disclosing that your car's paint job has to be perfect in order for them to actually perform the detail.Desired Settlement: I would like to be refunded for the full amount I paid. However, I would settle for the amount that Watershed was paid by Simi Deals for the cost of my certificate. (Simi Deals has confirmed to me, via e-mail, that Watershed has received compensation for my certificate.)
