Watt Avenue Pet Hospital Reviews (1)

Review: In august 28 of 2015 my dog was schedule to receive ear cosmetic surgery by this establishment, the job done was so poor and during the recovery period my dog was seeing by the vet only 2 times once when the surgery was done and the day that he was discharge. During this period the poor care from the staff in following appointments create it and infection that would requiere surgery done by another vet, the actual procedure was done incorrectly and that it was what created all the problems, we were assure that the rate of success was 99 % and we didn't have any the surgery done by this establishment was done incorrectly having one ear larger than the other for 1.5 cm and wasn't done according to the right steps, after 2 different opinions by different vets my dog went under cosmetic surgery again to try to save his ears, right now is still in recovery after such a long time.Having spend doble the money and putting throughout this is such a little time has made it very difficult. They should not be giving this services if they are not competent, this is a big deal and no dog should suffer, the doctor in there should be retire by now I don't think is capable enough to keep doing this workDesired Settlement: we would like a refund of the services due to the second surgery for correction that was done

Response:

In response to the complaint submitted to us on 10/8/2015 Id # 10851862. Mr. [redacted] brought his canine in for a Cosmetic Ear crop consult with [redacted] who has specialized ear crop surgeries for over 36 yrs. On August 14, 2015 Mr. [redacted] meet with Dr. [redacted] and the staff at which time the client was told in detailed and signed legal documentation the procedure and commitment of the surgery. The surgery 8/28/15 was uneventful and the ears were cut correctly. The client continued coming back for no charge ear wraps as in contract regarding our ear wrapping protocol, then on Sept 12, 2015 Dr. [redacted] examined the ears at which time the ears were standing and looking great at no time did the owner address to any staff member he was unhappy with the ears or the way the ears were cut. Dr. [redacted] graduated the patient with the understanding if by some chance the ears do tend to fall or over correct the owner was to bring patient back to continue to rewrap ears. On Sept 21, 2015 owner called and said the ears were down, he was advised to bring patient back in for us to re-evaluate and rewrap ears if needed. Owner declined said it cost him too much in gas to continue to drive the distance. We have not heard from owner since. Sincerely,[redacted]

Response:

I am rejecting this response because:the doctor never checked the dog after the surgery and only check the day she released the dog and in between we were in communication with the staff the wraps were not done the way it was supposed and at the time we decided to get a second opinion in which at that time the current vet told us that it was a poor job and wasn't taken care properly and done correctly and also we can get a letter from the current vet who fixed the problem so you can see we are not just talking but citing actual facts
