We ordered a ventilation system. We had to pay up front. Their contractor said, the system would not work in our home. We had a hard time getting our money back. We made many phone calls to the company. They kept saying that they would send us a check. We finally had to contact our credit card company before we received our money back.

Review: The problem with the equipment and my confidence with it's performance was that it contains inferior parts and doesn't reflect the image painted by the sales rep. $1,200.00 + dollars should buy more than zip ties and an extremely weak vent at risk of breaking that doesn't seal against the siding properly and allows outside weather in. In addition to inferior parts, and after complaining about the fact that it isn't removing the moisture in the basement, and being confirmed by the tech on the first call that the current stored data in the system reflects that issue, the tech asked me to push several buttons ultimately resetting the unit. After talking with the tech 2 days later and reading him the data again, he said the readings that I read to him reflect a positive change and feels the system should work. I am not convinced that the product will work and am being told based on the tech's position, W.H.S. (Wave Home Solutions) will charge a restocking fee of $150.00. I would already be absorbing a $250.00 install fee that I am told would not be refunded.Desired Settlement: I desire the following results:

1. Complete refund of product cost back on my credit card.

2. Refund of installation cost based on misrepresentation of the product ultimately misleading me (the consumer)

3. Revise the sales presentation to include more specifically the inferior parts used - or - upgrade the unit's components to be worthy of use.

With reference to the above complaint, the customer purchased a basement ventilation unit from us on May **, 2013. Towards the middle of June he spoke with our technical support department and they worked with the customer to adjust the settings on the unit. They tested the unit after the settings were adjusted and the readings in the customer's basement were improving. Our One Year Performance Guarantee states "If the unit is returned without an authorization number or if it is returned prior to at least 10 months of operation, a $150 restocking fee plus freight and handling charges will be deducted from the refund". In the interest of customer relations we waived the freight and handling charges.

The customer made us aware that he was having hardy plank installed on the outside of his home and did not want to wait to see if the unit would work for him because it would be expensive to replace the planks if the unit and outside vent had to be removed at a

future date. He was not willing to give the unit the time necessary to realize the effectiveness and benefits it can provide.

We trust that this will close this issue in a satisfactory manner.

I am in receipt of the customer's response to our letter dated July [redacted] regarding the above referenced complaint. We offer a One Year Performance Guarantee because we

stand behind our product and the wonderful benefits that it offers to our customers. Our technical support department worked with [redacted] to adjust the settings on his unit and, in a short time, the readings in his home had improved; and they would continue to improve over time.

[redacted] felt that he wanted to return the unit before experiencing the improved conditions because he was having hardy plank installed on his home and did not want incur the expense of possibly replacing a plank in the future.

In the interest of customer relations we will refund [redacted] the $150 restocking fee.

I trust that this will satisfactorily close this file.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me and the matter has been resolved. However, I do strongly feel that Wave Home Solutions should still modify their sales pitch to include the description of non-proprietary parts they use such as zip ties and very weak exhaust vents that are inadequate to the cost, or improve the quality of parts to better match the sales pitch presented to the consumer. I am still out $250.00 which is terrible, and am concerned for future potential customers, and now understand how previous customers feel as I have seen several complaints similar to mine on the Revdex.com website. Full disclosure is the best practice for any business. It's unfortunate that Wave H.S. doesn't practice that. I will accept this learning experience for what it's worth and move on as a smarter consumer for it.

Review: Wave company, doesn't tell the whole truth when dealing with the customers. They ask just a few questions mostly about your credit card.. They say if not compliantly satisfy you can get a refund. what they didn't say is that they will charge you restocking fee plus,shipping cost. if you stop it before ship out they still ship it out. I called them and said I rethink it I would like to cancel. (Phil said find let me check to see if it left the warehouse. How could it be ship so fast.I will call you back he said.)

He never called back. I called [redacted] at 2pm. they did n't get the package yet. called agin at 4:30they received it from Phil. why would he send it when we asked him to cancel.Desired Settlement: Tell the whole truth. Tell the consumer the whole story on returns policy. Plus what is said that it does is not true..No further contact by the business
