Review: I have contacted WDBJ7 about a "daily deal" I purchased a year ago. It is almost expired (in 4 days). I have tried to contact the daily deal business for a couple of months now. Businesshas NOT returned my call. First of all, businesswas not advertised as a male only (or didn't even include the persons name) massuese. I'm NOT comfortable (nor is my roomate) that I bought the other daily deal for. So basically I've purchased 2 daily deals for 40.00 each. I contacted WDBJ7 for a refund. They took several days to return my call, as has been the case every time I've gotten a daily deal. WDBJ7 states that if we can't work something out about the massage, they will give me credit. I don't want credit, nor have I ordered anymore "daily deals" in a year. The reason being they are too late returning calls and a lot of the deals expire. My deal is going to expire in a couple df days due to the massage business not calling me back, nor WDBJ7 returning my calls in a timely manner.Desired Settlement: I would like no further dealings with WDBJ7, nor the massage business and get a full refund mailed to my house. Ms. [redacted] reached out to us about this massage certificate about two weeks ago. She shared that the proprietor of the business was not responding to her. She also said that she was uncertain about getting a massage from a male therapist, even though his name was on the certificate.

She had bought the deal a year ago and it was about to expire. It often happens that people wait until near the expiration date to try to use the value. We told her that we would investigate and get back with her.

Within two days, our account executive had conferred with the business owner, who is the therapist. He had been out of action for a time because of a medical issue. At this point, however, he was ready to do massage again.

We called Ms. [redacted] and explained that he was available again and that he was eager to hear from her. She repeated that she wasn't sure she wanted a male therapist. We suggested that she contact him because we were aware that he had on occasion transferred the certificate to a female colleague. She said that she would call him. We told her that if there were still a problem, that she could call us and request a credit.

She pointed out that she has called us on occasion before because she needed help processing her orders. We told her that we are happy to do that. She said that that was okay and that she would let us know if there were still a problem.

The next time we heard about the case was the complaint via the Revdex.com.

It has been our policy to offer a credit. If the customer rejects the credit, we have made full refunds and we happy to do that in this case. Her credit card is being credited and should appear on her statement within three days.

We would like to point out that we tried to be helpful and to get the customer and the business together. If she had second thoughts about the purchase, we are disappointed, but our goal is always to make things right in the customer's mind.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and find that this resolution would be satisfactory to me. I will wait for the business to perform this action and, if it does, will consider this complaint resolved.
