Review: Contracted with Weaver's Construction in excess of $130,000.00 to replace the roof on our house with standing seam metal roof, replace the roof on a bank barn, side and roof a corn crib barn on our property, and construct several livestock run-in sheds. Since completion of the home and bank barn we have had substantial leaking issues. Ceilings and other areas of the home continue to show increasing water damage. Water can be heard dripping on the attic floor. In addition the roof of the bank barn leaks and we lost a load of straw this summer. Originally Weaver's Construction insisted that the leaks were due to a faulty window installation by another contractor. We have since had the window installation inspected by a manufacturer's representative who provided us a written report that the windows were installed per the manufacturer's specifications and were not leaking. We have had the project inspected by 2 separate leak inspection companies at an out of pocket cost of approximately $1,200.00. The window inspector as well as each of two separate leak inspection companies have each identified leaks due to issues with the flashing around dormers and chimneys, improper sealing of roof vents, and improper flashing and sealing of the roof where it meets existing surfaces of the home. On inspector identified areas which are not currently leaking, but are flashed incorrectly and will be leaking in a matter of time. We have paid Weaver's Construction the entire contracted total of all of the projects with the exception of $1,200.00 which we withheld due to leak issues identified during the project. We have contacted Vernon Weaver multiple times to get the issues resolved. He will not return phone calls or address the leaks in any way. We have retained an attorney but have not yet pursued official legal action. Our attorney will be sending Weaver Construction a letter detailing the findings of the inspection reports, as well as a proposed settlement in order to hire another party to correct the issues. We have also contacted Fabral Metal, whom is the material supplier Weaver Construction recommended and ultimately used, to file an official complaint with their service department and request a job site inspection. The interior of our home is being continually destroyed due to water issues and we will have this addressed in one fashion or another.Desired Settlement: I'd like to give Weaver Construction one final opportunity to correct the leaks being caused by the faulty workmanship before we take the next step and pursue legal action. If we are forced to take legal action, we will sue for the cost of all repairs both interior and exterior, as well as all out of pocket costs including but not limited to inspection fees, losses of and damage to farm products and equipment due to leaks in the barn, attorney fees, and court costs. I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me. Weaver Construction's insurance carrier has contacted our attorney and is making arrangements to move forward with estimates for repairs.

Weaver's Construction just finished installing a metal roof on our house and I can't say enough good things about this company. From the first meeting with [redacted] we were very comfortable with him. [redacted] brought a very nice portfolio for us to look at and he answered all of our in depth questions and concerns. Once we decided to move forward we were on the work schedule and our roof was started in just a little under 2 weeks. We're very picky customers and [redacted] and his crew were definitely up for the challenge of my perfectionist hubby. The crew takes great care and pride in the work they do. They take their time and make sure things are done right and any questions or concerns we have had during the process were answered and addressed to our liking. When the guys left each night our property was cleaned up as if it were the last day on the job, very nice having such a conscientious and respectful crew working on our home. I'd give Weaver's Construction more than 5 stars if it was an option.
