Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.
While the contract appears not to include a timeline for completion of contracted services, two years following the event is excessive.  [redacted] has an obligation to fulfill his contractual obligation to provide a finished product within a reasonable time.  I would like to set a completion date for our video in exchange for payment. If Joel is not accepting payment at this time I would like a set date as to when payment will be accepted and editing will begin.
Regards,
[redacted]

As stated in my contract and on my website editing commences upon payment.  An invoice was for the editing was forwarded but no payment has been received.

Review: My husband and I hired Joel Peregrine to film our wedding on October 19, 2013. Before the wedding day, we signed a contract complete with full payment for a short film (5-6 minutes) to be provided on a DVD to us following the editing of footage after the wedding. We have contacted Joel numerous times requesting timelines for the final product and each time either don't receive a reply, or receive a reply of "editing is in progress" without a concrete deadline. We were once told it would be completed by our 1 year anniversary, which would have been October 19, 2014. We still have yet to see any of the video. We have continued to contact Joel by phone and email and have stopped receiving any responses.Desired Settlement: We would like our video dvd delivered by the end of 2015 as well as a price adjustment for the product not being completed by the deadline of 1 year after our wedding date.

Response:

This Highlights will be completed by November 14 or sooner and will be much longer than the paid-for edit. Total contracted is $1490 and does not include a completion date. Signed contract available upon request.

Regards,

I was married in 2007 and hired Wedding Films for our big day. After several years of emailing and complaining, I finally received my raw footage. It is 2015, and I have yet to receive the final product. Very disappointed and the owner has promised resolution over and over again.

Our wedding was on May 30, 2010. After repeated emails, I have yet to receive a response on when we the finished edited product will be completed or any response at all. I understand there was no agreed upon date that the finished product would be completed but it has been over 3 years since our wedding. We were able to view a 5 minute clip the night of the wedding. The work is fabulous based on that clip but service is very undesirable. I would have recommended this company based on product but will never recommend due to poor response and length of time we are having to wait. Other weddings that we have been to have a finished product back before they even get back from their honeymoon. Very disappointed.

Review: I was married on August 31, 2013 and was promised a wedding films video to be completed on numerous dates. The owner of this company had failed to deliver on every promise and fails to communicate through email or phone calls. We have paid in full and it was stated that once the final payment was made it would take 4-6 weeks to complete. We are going on 12 weeks from that time and 8 months since the wedding. The owner of this company is failing to provide a product and the contract had been followed completely and paid in full.Desired Settlement: I want the completed video preview of the wedding and the unedited footage of the complete wedding day within two months or a complete refund of the total priced paid.

Update: September 14, 2015: It has now been 5 YEARS + since our wedding and we have yet to receive the final version of our wedding video. It is unacceptable for a business to operate like this. We have paid 50% with the agreement that the other 50% would be paid once the final edited version was complete. We expected a timely delivery of this final version and are completely disappointed. To stress again, Joel was fabulous the day of and quickly turned around the edited sneak peak but I will NOT recommend based on this lack of follow through.Desired Settlement: It has now been 5 YEARS + since our wedding and we have yet to receive the final version of our wedding video. Regards,

Review: We got married on January 11, 2014 and we used Wedding Films to film our wedding. We purchased a unique package because we wanted the entire ceremony on film and [redacted] was kind enough to work with us. He was a referral through my uncle. A week after our wedding we received a short version of our video that was absolutely amazing. We watched it while we were on our honeymoon and was incredibly excited to watch the entire ceremony. We have been contacting [redacted] through email and on the phone in regards to our video and we have gotten the run-a-round as to why it is taking so long to finish up our video. We have received emails from [redacted] stating that he is finishing up the cover artwork and we should have our video by middle of September. Well it is now October 21, 2014 and we still have not received our video. This has been a very frustrating process working with [redacted] and it is amazing how an experience of working with a vendor can tarnish one of the most memorable days of our lives. [redacted] is a pay up front type of vendor so he has had our money since January of 2014 and I believe if you pay for something up front, you should deliver in a timely fashion. [redacted] does beautiful work but I would not recommend using him to any bride. . . . the frustration is not worth his work.Desired Settlement: We are 3 months away from our one year anniversary so we would like the package that we paid for and we believe a $500 refund is appropriate. Wedding Films charged us $1000 for the entire package and because he has had almost a year to work on it, we would like some of our money back from the stress that this process has caused us.

Review: My husband I were married in August of 2013 and had [redacted] perform the videography. We began contacting him a few months after our wedding to ask him when we'd receive our video and he said he was "closing in on the editing of our Documentary." We have made countless efforts to get in contact with him via phone and email since this time, most of which have gone unanswered. On the rare occasion we do receive a response, it is an empty promise he does not intend to keep.

In November 2014, I requested that he provide our video to us by the end of 2014. He provided us an invoice agreeing that the editing would be completed no later than December 15, 2014. This editing was not completed and we have yet to receive our video. In January he told me he had over-committed and had 3 videos that needed to be completed before ours. It has now been 6 months and we have received nothing.Desired Settlement: We would like the editing to be completed and our wedding video to delivered to us within the next 60 days.

Response:

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.

Due to [redacted] lack of response to my calls and emails we had agreed he would provide a preview of our video, before we paid the remaining balance. Over time he promised countless completion deadlines that he then failed to meet. He was non-responsive to my attempts to get in touch with him and it became evident he had little intention of providing a preview. I tried getting in contact with him countless times to answer my questions and determine the actual time frame of completion. I asked if paying the balance would mean that he would move forward with our editing, however, again received no response. We are fully willing to pay the remaining balance if we receive the product we were promised within the agreed upon 4 weeks of your receiving payment. It is my hope that we are able to resolve this in a timely manner. On our 2nd anniversary this August, my husband and I hope to be able to watch our wedding video, with similar to the quality of those we saw on [redacted] website, which was the reason we selected him as our videographer years ago.

Regards,
