Review: Yard is DEAD!! We had our normal yard service about three (3) weeks ago. At that time the technician recommended to us to have a disease control which was applied three (3) days later. Three (3) weeks later our yard is 90% dead. We have had rain for about a 7-10 day period. We were in high temperatures in May and June with little rain until late June. I water my yard more than my neighbors and the yards around ours has the same soil content therefore during low rain conditions yards brown (like normal) but come back or start greening when it rains again. Our yard is the only yard where 90% of the grass did not start greening and is completely DEAD!. A technician came to my home today to discuss our situation and I was told this: WATER your yard more! We have had periods of droughts before in this area and browning is quite normal but yards come back. I have attached pictures of our yards as well as neighbors around us. BUG DIFFERENCE! There started immediately greening after the rains we had. But ours is DEAD! Also the only thing turning green and growing where I did have grass it clumps of weeds here and there. They are doing fine. So blame was put on us and the need to WATER. I will now have a dead yard the rest of the year until fall when I will have to spend a lot of money redoing my entire yard. It took me 10 years to get our yard looking nice and we even get/got compliment on our yard this spring. NOT ANYMORE! I believe that as experts that with the extreme temperatures and low rainfall during May and June they should not have recommended the disease control applications and especially not so close to a normal service (3 days before). Our yard was already in stress and it was noticeable. What are experts for if they cannot advise on what to use and not to use. I had more pics to show others part of the yard and additional neighbors' yards but the site only takes one pic.Desired Settlement: I want them to redo my yard this fall because it is too late in the summer to even attempt to resend or lay sod. That includes aeration, seeding, fertilizing, and weed control.
