Every attempt was made to return the items purchased in this case from Weldex Corporation in a timely manner. Weldex corporation requires a Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) to return items for a refund or exchange. Merchandise returned without an RMA will not be accepted. When a consumer attempts to return merchandise to Weldex, they are utterly on their own to figure out how to do so. Weldex Corporation has no information about returning merchandise or the procedure to obtain an RMA on its home page and no link on its contact page. Review: On 4/21/14 I purchased $1,435.00 of merchandise from Weldex Corporation. Invoice [redacted] applies.

After receiving the merchandise, I attempted to contact Weldex Corporation to obtain a Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA). These initial calls were made prior to April 30, 2014. The telephone number for Weldex Corporation would ring and go unanswered; no voice mail system responded.

I made additional calls to Weldex. Eventually the voice mail system responded and I left messages requesting an RMA and a call back on two occasions. No one from Weldex ever called me back.

Over several weeks I sent multiple emails to Weldex ([redacted]) requesting an RMA. No one ever responded to these emails.

I finally contacted a live person at Weldex and received instructions how to obtain a RMA via the company website (www.weldex.com). The representative guided me through the procedure to obtain an RMA as nowhere on the Weldex HOME or CONTACT page is there any indication of how to do so. Weldex issued return authorization (RMA [redacted]) and I shipped the items to Weldex via UPS ([redacted]).

Upon receipt of the items, Weldex (Kevin [redacted]) sent the following email on November 18th:

Dear Customer,

The credit has been denied by the management, and the items have been returned:

FEDEX 10/20/2014 [redacted] Because Weldex failed to properly address the shipment (i.e., my unit number was omitted) I am still trying to track down the package [redacted] at this 256 unit condominium facility.

Weldex failed to timely respond to my many attempts to communicate with the company regarding the return of this merchandise. When the return was authorized, I shipped the merchandise back at my expense - only to have Mr. [redacted] (RMA Manager) subsequently dishonor the return authorization. This company has no concept of customer service. They impeded my good faith efforts to return the merchandise in a timely manner and they have not honored their return policy.Desired Settlement: I request a refund for this merchandise in accordance with their stated policy.

Hello, Please see the official Weldex Corp. response regarding transaction [redacted] below. 1) Customer purchased items on 4/21/14 as indicated on invoice [redacted], attached.2) Customer requested RMA on 9/16/14 as indicated by RMA[redacted], attached.3) RMA rejected on 9/24/14 due to lack of adherence with return policy.· Items must be returned within 30 days of the original purchase date to be eligible for credit, as indicated by our Standard Policies and Procedures, attached.· The items were not returned within the 30-day period to be eligible for credit, as indicated by UPS tracking number provided by the customer, attached.· All items were returned to the customer via FedEx and signed for by the customer, as indicated by the FedEx proof of delivery, attached. As indicated by the documentation attached, the customer did not adhere to Weldex Corporation’s policies necessary to receive a credit or refund. Best regards,Weldex USAT : [redacted] F : [redacted]
