Well Street Psychological Group Inc Reviews (1)

Review: [redacted] was very rushed at my appointment, at the very least. He also kept cutting me off when I was talking. He starts his sessions late and ends early all the time, despite my telling his staff how inappropriate and unprofessional that is. He still continues to do it.It was definitely NOT worth a one-and -a-half hour drive from Los Angeles to Mission Viejo for a $260.00 session with him for only 50 minutes of the full hour I paid for, completely out of my pocket (he doesn't take insurance).1) This is an individual who wants people to respect his time, yet he doesn't respect YOUR time!We come to the agreement that he started my session late (as usual) and ended early- a total of 10 minutes that he cut from my one hour appointment. We agree for him to call me for a 5-10 minute phone appt to make up for his cutting-it-short during my session. I wait for over 20 minutes for his call. He never calls, as he promised. I email his receptionist (Jessica) back then to reschedule. She does not respond, so I have to keep following up with her to reschedule- double, sometimes triple times. When she finally responds, we finally get the chance to look fir another date. Much to my dismay, we cannot find a time that works for both of us. He does not want to do another noon time for the other noon time that he missed.Instead, I get a random phone call during the week one day from [redacted] himself, telling me my "5 minutes is up and I have to buy more sessions" from him. How can my 5-10 minutes be used up when he failed to call me during our phone appointment time in the first place?I then start doing the email tag with his receptionist, once again. We finally set up another 12 noon time this past Friday, June 27. As usual, he fails to call at noon. Again, I'm waiting around for more than 20 minutes- not to my surprise- no call. Meanwhile, I also have another phone appointment job interview coming up at 12:30, as I've told him already. He continues to disrespect that I have other calls and appointments in my life.He calls at 12:52 pm- 52 minutes way LATE, during my next appointment, and he expects me to drop everything I'm doing to take his late phone call, even when I'm in another meeting.I write the same receptionist to reschedule once again, and I get this response, again, on pushing me to 'buy more sessions.' To this day, he still has not called me at our appointment times we made. We have not fulfilled our 5-10 minutes, and it has been an entire month!Very disrespectful of your time. Don't waste your time with him. Or your gas, or any of your money.2) In virtually EV-ery single one of his communications, he's telling you to buy more sessions and to book up an appointment with him ASAP, otherwise 'I won't get the spot' - he doesn't even take the time to LISTEN to any one of your correspondences! Wow. And his price for sessions is way too pricey and not worth the time or the effort. This is a perfect example of a therapist with bad business practices. Very bad.I'm so tired of these hypocrites in high positions who call themselves 'Christians' and are just after your money. I don't even know why I tolerated this person for so long.I am no longer interested in having anything to do with this person, butI demand a letter of an apology from him for disrespecting my time, not listening, and being money hungry, and just plain unprofessional. No excuses, etc., just a plain, simple APOLOGY!Desired Settlement: Genuine, true APOLOGY.

Please see response attached. July 9, 2015Revdex.com of San DiegoRe: Response to ComplaintThank you for bringing this situation to our attention. The nature of our business is to deal with peoplein crisis - some due to physiological challenges, others due to psychological challenges, and some due toa combination of both physiological and psychological challenges. When dealing with people in crisis, my goal is to establish a consistent schedule so I can give my fullattention. After being late for her first appointment with me after a two year absence from therapy, and having traveled over an hour to see me, this client asked for a follow up call to spend a few minutestalking about disability insurance benefits. I clearly communicated through email and through my initialconversation that disability insurance is a long-term process and a short phone call would beinadequate. She ignored my suggestion to schedule an appointment to discuss the disability processand related required documentation. She was convinced that she would only need “a few minutes.”After attempting to call her three times, which was done as a courtesy with no fees charged, shedemanded that I keep trying to call her and she kept missing my calls. By the third attempt, she wasconvinced that I was not a caring doctor and was “just in it for the money” even though I had made nocharges for the time I spent attempting to contact her. With the hope of ending my therapeutic relationship with this client on a positive note, I have continuedto try to contact her regarding her questions about disability (again, at no cost). I was finally able toconnect with her earlier today and we had an oppor[redacted]ity to discuss her expectations. At the end of ourconversation she seemed in a much better place. She clarified that much of her disappointment with mewas because I didn’t display the level of excitement she was expecting from me regarding her progressand seeing her again after the two year break in therapy. I believe the situation has now been diffused ifnot resolved. Finally as point of reference, earlier this year our company donated an amount equal to over half of herrecent therapy fees to her non-profit organization as a clear attempt to support her progress and toconfirm that we are not here “just for the money.”Kind regards,[redacted], Ph.D.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.

Once again, [redacted]'s response demonstrates that he just does NOT listen., he's unprofessional by not respecting patients time. He failed to call me at the two 12 noon appointment times he promised me- disrespecting my time. He always started sessions late and ended, there, he owed me the 10 minutes that he cut me short of. In addition to this, In every single one of his correspondences, he is always pushing me to buy more sessions. It's even in all the emails from his assistant in addition to him telling me every time I see him and he leaves a message- that I need " to buy more sessions. " Again, how can my 10 minutes 'be up' if he hasn't even honored our two 12 noon appointment times that he owes me from cutting my session short??!!Wow.
