WESP LLC/Vine Vera Kiosk at the Pentagon City Mall Reviews (2)

Review: On 28 May 13 I went to Pentagon City Mall in Arlington, VA to shop. In the mall and on my way to [redacted] I was stopped by a vendor outside the main stores, in reference to skin care products. I have a problem with shaving bumps so Im always looking for products to help with this particular problem. The salesman [redacted] was friendly and informative. I had some time to kill so I allowed him to demonstrate some of the products to me. He gave me a chair on the side of this indoor Kiosk and went over some of the products testing some on me to show the effectiveness. I like the products but told him that I had come to shop for clothes and couldnt afford to pay the asking prices. He told me that he was one of the senior representatives from their Las Vegas spa and that he could lower the price when others could not. He showed me sets at different times and I liked the results from the tests, so he would ask, do you want to purchase at the reduced price? I agreed to buy, so he asked for my card and took it to the register and then came back with the receipt for me to sign and then began showing me other products, some for the hands some for the eyes etc.. Four times I purchased product sets from him in this fashion believing I was getting a better deal than I would otherwise and since Im here for such a short time I went with it. I finally decided to continue to [redacted] to do the shopping I had come to do. Im stationed in [redacted] Germany and shopping there isnt the easiest with dollar being so weak. I try to come home once a year or every two years to shop. I purchased the clothing items I had come back to the states on vacation to get but realized there was more I wanted. So realizing that the skin care products were not a necessity and there was no guarantee they would solve my shaving problem for the long term I decided to return them. I walked back downstairs in the mall, take in mind this is about an hour to an hour and a half after I purchased the skin care products. I approached the salesman and told him, Im sorry [redacted] but this just isnt in my budget, I need to return them. He then tells me their company does not do returns. I told him that was strange because he never mentioned it when he was selling the products to me. He said thats the companies policy but in an attempt to play the good guy he told me, Ill do you a favor and give you a Customer claim form for you to fill out and send to the company and Ill call them and tell them that I believe this should be a return because you just purchased them, they usually listen to me, is what he said. At this point I was blown away and irritated but I took the form and went home to fill it out immediately. Sent it to them through email with the receipts but I realized I had lost one of the receipts, the one for $399.00. They have no office phone number only email and fax. I grew more irritated when they did not respond. I called USAA and told them the situation, they informed me that I would have to wait until the charges posted to my debit account. The charges posted on Thursday 30 May 13 and I requested a dispute of the 4 charges. On Friday the company responded taking their employees word that he told me about the no return policy and that theres a sign at the register as required by law and no refund is written on the receipt. I responded that he never told me about the refund policy and that if he had I would have gotten up and walked away because it would make no sense for me to spend money with no guarantees about a product and no form of recompense. I didnt go to the register at the small kiosk because he made it convenient for me to sit for him to show me more products, but conveniently took my card to the register. The receipt is my fault because I didnt look at the bottom of my copy until they mentioned it in the email. But the signed copy was much smaller and I cant even be sure the refund policy was written on the receipt I signed when I made the purchase. And looking back on their email, they say they added the No refund policy on the customer receipt but say nothing about the one you pay the most attention to, the one you actually sign. Their justification is some liability issue but I dont know what issue that could be when everything was returned exactly as purchased. I feel cheated and Im kicking myself for being so gullible. All I want is my money back and this vacation headache to be over!Desired Settlement: I would like all of my money back totaling 1322.50.

Review: Purchased 3 products at their kiosk at [redacted] in [redacted],VA and later found out that they overcharged for them. They charged for a total of $3,074.00 ($1,484.OO +1,272.00 + $318.OO) This is a ridiculous amount for cosmetic skin care products. They agreed to refund only $1,000.00 but refused to reimburse for the rest of the products. We paid with a Visa debit card.Desired Settlement: A refund to be issued in the amount of $2,074.00
