Complaint: [redacted] I am rejecting this response because: They didn't read the complaint! They gave me a quote and they are not standing by their quote, trying to blame the customer (me) for their mistake. I did not sign something that said they could charge me more!The bigger issue is they are still ignoring that they cut my tongue. Taking no responsibility for their mistake! A customer should and usually is compensated for a mistake made by a professional, and I expect that!I will never do business with this establishment again. They care nothing about their customer and know nothing about what customer service is! Sincerely, [redacted] ***

In regards to the complaint from Mr ***, ID number ***, he was seen in our office for his routine cleaning and exam on 11/8/2016. Insurance was billed and they paid the fee for the cleaning, but not the exam, because of frequency. At that appointment, he was given a
treatment plan for the dental work that needed to be done. It also included the “estimate” his insurance would pay. On Friday, 2/3/17, *** sent a note asking about the account balance, and on Monday, 2/6/17, a response was sent to him explaining the insurance payments. It was explained to him that they applied a $deductible, and his particular plan reduced posterior composite (white) fillings to amalgam fillings, and paid accordingly. As I also explained to him, it is impossible to give an exact balance owing after insurance, unless a predetermination is sent. That is always done if requested by the patientIn addition, all patients sign a form that indicates their financial obligation and responsibility, stating that the” patient is responsible for all charges whether or not paid by insurance.” That form is signed by Mr *** and is a part of his medical record He also indicated in his complaint that after he questioned his account balance, the explanation given was for something he never had. That is correct. The explanation indicated it was “fluoride”, however, the service was for an exam, and that is exactly what was billed on his account, and submitted to his insurance. That was also explained in the 2/6/letter, so I’m not sure why this is an issue, as it was cleared up We will reach out to Mr *** to further resolve this matter Sincerly, Debbie S***
