Westboro Shell & Car Wash Reviews (2)

I am writing to lodge a formal complaint and report an incident that occurred on 7/19/14 at Westborough Shell and Car Wash [redacted] East Main Street in Westborough, MA). I purchase $50.89 worth of gas and a $5.00 car wash at the pump. I then proceeded to the car wash, entered my code (#XXXXX) and attempted to drive my car properly into the wash. Upon entry, although the indicator lights seemed ok, my tires were inadvertently not aligned properly with the conveyor. I realized this because my car did not advance through the wash on the conveyor. I therefore attempted to back up out of the wash and re-align my vehicle. The car wash wheel guardrail slashed my tire as I did this. Disturbingly, the mobile repair unit serviceman from [redacted] who came to my assistance reported to me that he had been called multiple times to this very Shell station for the exact same problem tires slashed by the car wash. I wrote a letter and called the [redacted] to report the problem. The station [redacted], a Mr. [redacted], rudely and unprofessionally told me that the problem was 100% my fault. He proceeded to repeatedly insult me telling me that I needed to go back to driving school, and he called me foul and derogatory names. The incident was costly to me in terms of money ($5.00 for the car wash which I never received and also $237.25 for the tire replacement) and several hours of my time. I asked the station to refund me a total of $242.25. Mr. [redacted] refused. This establishment should be investigated and sanctioned for their business practices. Their car wash should be avoided until repairs are made.Product_Or_Service: Car WashAccount_Number: car wash code # 4753Desired SettlementThe station should refund me a total of $242.25. Mr. [redacted] should be terminated from employment for his extremely egregious conduct. The establishment should be investigated and sanctioned for their business practices. Their car wash should be mandated to have repairs made so that no future damage happens to the cars of other consumers.Business Response Contact Name and Title: [redacted]Contact Phone: XXX-XXX-XXXXContact Email: [redacted]He did not enter the car wash slowly jumping over the conveyor fell of the conveyor hit and dent my spray nozzles back off three times as fast as he canhit his tires three time in the wash rails came to my station yelling and screaming and tell customers do not go buy car wash keep asking me in prejudice way (where are you from)many times I tried to show him what was his fault but he would not listen.I am sending you in the mail copies of signs posted in the car wash that we hold no responsibility of any damage unless it was car wash malfunction also I am sending you a video as an evidence of his 100 percent fault.if you need any further explanation please let me know.thanks [redacted]Consumer Response (The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)This response is unacceptable.
