Review: This business advertises on [redacted] as Appliance, Heating and AC Repair NYC, located on [redacted]. Tel. ###-###-####. I contacted them and got Gus on the phone, who claimed to be the owner. The repairman arrived in the morning of August *, looked at the refrigerator, which stopped working, and said we needed a new compressor. He got Gus on the phone, who told us we needed to make a $450 deposit. The repairman gave us a voucher from [redacted]. and stated it was the same business as Appliance, Heating and AC Repair Inc. We gave him a check for the $450.

Two days later, he came back and stated that we actually needed another part. Got Gus on the phone again and he said it would cost more than the original $850 he had quoted, and it was better for us to just buy a new refrigerator. He would send us a check for $400 and keep $50 for the repairman's visits.

We did not receive any check, and called him. First he said he would stop payment on the check he had supposedly sent and send us a new check. When the new check did not arrive either, we called him again, and he offered to bring a new check personally the next day.

This did not happen either, so we kept on calling, but he is now not taking our calls. It seems obvious that he is not planning to return any part of our deposit.Desired Settlement: We want the promised refund of $400.

Review: I contacted Western Appliance Repair Inc after my Sharp warming drawer/drawer type microwave stopped working around mid Dec 2014. They came to look at the microwave and told me that the magnatron was busted and they can replace it but they have to order the parts. After I gave them a down payment, they ordered the part and a week later they replaced the magnatron and the warming drawer was working fine.I pain the remianing balance then. A month later, it stopped working again. I immediately called them and they told me that someone will call and check after the weekend. No one came so I called them several times and left several messages but no one called me back. I used a different phone and luckily someone answered and he said he was going to send someone again (and that he went on vacation thats why he did not receive or return my calls). Its been more than a month from the last time I spoke to the [redacted] and no one has returned my call or came to check the faulty appliance and Ive been calling and leaving them messages to call me back.Desired Settlement: The [redacted] told me the first time I called him after the microwave drawer stopped working again, that there was warranty for the part and he will replace the faulty magnatron without any service fee. I just want them to replace the part since the warranty should still be in effect.

Review: I paid$160.95 to have my gas dryer repaired. Called 2 days later when I tried to use the dryer and it was not working. They sent someone who charged me $60 more to replace a belt. The dryer was not getting hot again (first problem). Called and the guy came back with someone. They worked on it and did not charge me this time. It got hot hot but when I tried to use it a few days later it tumbles but no heat. I called and left messages with no call back from anyone. So I spent a total of $220.95 for nothing. How can this be resolved amicably?
