I had one of your exterminators ([redacted]) come do an inspection of my house for bed bugs because I kepp getting bit by something at night. He barely looked at anything, just checked the edges of the bed and said we did not have any. He said if we did happen to find any actual bugs to let him know and he would come back and take care of the problem and would apply the $75 fee towards the price of the extermination process. 2 weeks after he was there I was still getting bit a lot so my fiance and I moved the nightstands and pulled the bed apart. We found some bugs so we put them in a baggy and emailed [redacted]. He finally responded back and sent someone out to pick the bug samples up on 2/20. Since then I have emailed him multiple times to find out if he had verified what type og bug it was and what he was going to do about it. I still have not heard back from him. I am extremely upset to have paid money for someone to come out and halfway check the issue out and then when we have done the job that he should have done in the first place and actually look and find bugs, he will not respond back. Very unprofessional and a rip-off company.Desired SettlementI want my money back so that I can get a company to come out and actually do the job they were paid for and fix my issue.

Review: My problems with Western Exterminator Company began when I scheduled a service for Saturday 9/5/15. The service required a lot of preparation on my part: I had to bag up all belongings of mine and my husband and children or pile them on our beds and cover them with blankets so they did not get soaked in pesticides. The process took me nearly two days to complete considering I'm also pregnant. But I completed my preparations and on the day of the scheduled service, no one ever showed up. I was distraught. All of our things were piled on our beds and I had no where for my kids to sleep, no dishes to cook my family food. I called and spoke to different customer service reps whom all assured me that a manager was going to be calling me within a few minutes. Close to two hours later I finally heard back from a manager who was very apologetic and assured me that he'd have a technician to my house first thing in the morning on Tuesday 9/8/15. He told me that he'd waive the $150 start up fee and I'd only be charged the monthly amount which is $50. I reluctantly agreed because we could really use the money we'd be saving. After that, things went fine. The technician came on Tue as promised. But on Mon 9/14/15 when I checked my account, I saw that they had charged me for the full $207, not the $50 as promised. I was extremely upset as this is the money my children and my husband and I had to live off of for another two weeks! So I immediately called the company to notify them of their mistake. I spoke to a customer service rep who said that because it was after hours, she would send the managers an email and they would contact me the following day. Well it is now the following day and I've heard nothing from anyone. I called about an hour ago and was told the same exact thing I was told last night. They would email the managers and I would be contacted...Desired Settlement: I demand a full refund of the $207.00 that I was charged. Not only have I never been so mistreated by a business in all my life, they didn't even complete the needed task- I still have bugs! I'd like to go with a different company and I need the $207 to do so.

We needed to get a report of how many bugs are sharing our home so we could sell it, so our realtor called this company to get an estimate. The inspector seemed to do an OK job (yes, just OK) and we received an estimate the next day. Turns out, he missed a few items (big ones.) The realtor had another team come out to get a second opinion, but ultimately went with Western to do repairs (An exterminating company to do repairs??? Exactly!) Aside from their primitive map being not very reliable and not having them point out what they would be repairing, they missed rot under the floor in the master bed (we have a crawlspace under part of our house), the water heater foundation is rotting, and the whole West facing upper garage wall has light shining through.) They added on the cost of repairing the floor, and unfortunately I thought they would get the rest on the subsequent days (we actually had rain delays here.) Upon completing they failed to fix two areas that still have the inspectors 'poke hole' where there is rot damage, did not even fix the water heater base, and did not fix the exterior garage wall. To me, it looked like those areas were covered under their primitive sketch, but that is what I get for assuming. Our realtors are not much help either. Not only that, they did not measure where a cutout was supposed to go for an electrical outlet, missed the measurements by about 10 inches, cut a second time and placed the same board on the house. All they did was plug the hole back up and seal it. On the same piece of siding, they made an ugly cutout for the house valve, replaced the cutout and sealed it. For a third strike, on the SAME piece of siding, they broke off the edge (pinky size), sealed it back on and drove a nail through it. Plus they broke my security light sensor.... and placed the hose holder too low and right next to the dryer vent. Horrible experience.

Review: On 5/30/14 I contracted with Western Exterminator to tent my home for Termites. The inspector from Western was very knowledgeable about the pests and about my roofing material. Because my roof is made of a composite material, it must be handled with care. The inspector, [redacted], said that the team that tented the house would take special measures to protect my roof; foam boards would be placed on any surface that they walked on, on any surface on which tents were placed, and protective blankets where ladders were placed against the roof edge. [redacted] additionally said that if any damage occurred they would immediately stop and contact us. The team was supposed to arrive between 9-11AM on 6/13 and would call 30 minutes before arrival so that our whole family could be ready to vacate for 3 days.

On the day of the tenting a third party subcontractor showed up before the agreed upon time, and without calling. We were surprised to see that it was not Western Exterminator, but had just spent days bagging up or throwing away every food and medicine in our home and had paid a large deposit, so did not feel that we were in a position to turn them away. My family had to scramble to leave the home with everything required for the 3 days. Since we were otherwise occupied we were not able to watch the team and trusted that the agreed upon precautions would be taken.

When we returned home on Monday 6/13 we were aghast at the condition of our roof. The shakes were broken off of almost every corner. The ground was littered with pieces of broken shakes. A neighbor immediately came out of her home and said, "did you see what they did to your roof!?" I asked if she saw the precautions that they were to take and she said "No. They were just walking all over it like it was nothing."

Western is claiming that they are not responsible because we signed a damage waiver. However, they acted with gross neglect by not following the agreed upon precautions.Desired Settlement: Ideally, Western Exterminator would buy me a new roof, because my roof type is not repairable (as was agreed by the person that Western sent out with a tube of glue to stick the broken shakes back together). However, I am willing to agree to a billing adjustment in the amount of the remaining balance.
