Review: Western Insulation filed pre-lein paperwork on the SAME DAY they sent the bill.

My contractor signed a work agreement on 3 Dec 13 that included his pre-authorization for a credit card charge for the total estimated amount (I have proof but it is not attached for privacy reasons). Work was done on 6 Dec 13. Western Insulation failed to charge his credit card. Then, on 10 Dec 13, they sent 3 letters: 1) pre-lein filing warning me that they might put a lein on my house, 2) a bill to me, and 3) a bill to my contractor. I received his bill on 13 Dec 13, the same day I got a Preliminary Notice.

I do not understand why Western Insulation refuses to charge my contractor's credit card. They're the ones who required it up front in the first place. That's problem number one.

Problem number two is filing with the State on the same day as sending my contractor and me the bill. That is an unacceptable business practice.

Western Insulation, on their filing, used an incorrect date of service. They claim 2 Dec 13. [redacted] at Western Insulation emailed my contractor on 3 Dec 13. Work was done on 6 Dec 13. I wonder if they are sloppy with their paperwork or deliberately lied to make it look like my contractor and I were delinquent.Desired Settlement: I want an apology to me and my contractor.
