My clients have asked that I respond to the Revdex.com complaint filed by [redacted] On May 3, Mr [redacted] purchased a power conditioning system from Western Watt.As required under the contract, an energy audit was conducted which demonstrated the energy savings to [redacted] was 16.79% after it was installed on or about May 17,2010.On May 24,Western Watt received a telephone call from Mr [redacted] who said he believed the Western Watt equipment had caused fuses to blow in the building where he was locatedA courtesy service call was sent out by Western Watt, and the electrician discovered that Mr [redacted] as utilizing a machine with faulty disconnectsAs a courtesy the electrician attempted to temporarily alleviate the problem by tightening the disconnectsSince that date, and until February 2,nothing more had been heard from Mr [redacted] .On February 2,Mr [redacted] contacted Western Watt, claimed he had suffered a loss of equipment, and demanded Western Watt modify their websiteAt that time Mr [redacted] was advised the Western Watt warranty covered repair or replacement of the power conditioning unit only, but he was asked to send to Western Watt the documentation which confirmed an APS power outage as well as any documentation supporting his claim his equipment was damaged for review.No information was received from Mr [redacted] .On February 19, Mr [redacted] sent another e-mail again demanding Western Watt modify their website in accordance with his demands, and indicating he would be contacting a lawyer to follow up "recovering financial losses that have occurred"Again, no documentation was ever received as requested by Western Watt which demonstrated any equipment loss had occurred, or the cause of any alleged equipment loss.To date, Mr [redacted] has not returned any Western Watt unit demonstrated to be defectivenor has he provided any evidence the equipment he retains is defective in any wayAlso, as there are numerous possible causes of equipment failure, without any additional information it cannot be determined if his equipment failed (if it in fact did so) as a result of: An internal short in the machine; Equipment so old the failure of the equipment was a result of wear and tear; A power supply in any machine, and whether the power supply had been properly serviced, maintained, or whether the power supply provided erratic power to the rest of the machine causing it to fail; Misuse of the machine; or One of many other possible causes of failureThe Western Watt equipment conditions the power as it enters the building; it does not condition or protect against defects or problems in the internal wiring of the building or inside individual pieces of equipmentWithout additional information and documentation it is impossible to even guess at the cause of any problem Mr [redacted] claims to have occurred.As stated earlier, the written warranty of Western Watt Mr [redacted] received extends only to repair or replacement of the power conditioning unit which has provided and likely continues to provide substantial energy savings to Mr [redacted] as it has for the past four yearsTo simply respond to his other complaint to the Revdex.com, Mr [redacted] is not entitled to tell Western Watt - or any other business - what information can or cannot be displayed on their website, any more than he can insist the Revdex.com alter its website to satisfy his particular demands.In summary, and although additional information has been requested by Western Watt from Mr [redacted] in order to investigate his claims, he has declined to provide any documentation of an APS power outage or even identify which machine he claims has been damagedWestern Watt has completely performed according to the terms of their purchase agreement, and continues to stand behind its products in accordance with its written warrantyThis Complaint is without foundation, and appears to be primarily for the purpose of harassment and/or to serve some undisclosed purpose of Mr [redacted] Very truly yours, [redacted]
