The customer was sent an example of what is required for a valid proof of purchaseThe letter from Target clearly states they cannot produce a receipt after a long period of time and are unable to return or exchange as they have a day return/exchange policyA bank statement is not valid as it does not specify on what was purchased and the amount paid per itemIn order to continue with the case the customer must provide a valid proof of purchase that includes the following Retailer that it was purchased from Date of purchase Item purchased Amount paid for the item Method of payment

Mr [redacted] must contact us at 800-701-for any Customer Service issues such as Trouble Shooting, Warranty (if still applicable) or firmware for his unit

Customer was offered business days from Nov24th to either recycle the unit and show a recycling receipt for us to validate or customer could ship the unit to usWe will then offer a refund for the purchase price of the television

I went to Target to get stamp but they do not have one! Then Westinghouse stated it was not acceptable proof, (when on 9-it was?) It just seems that whatever is sent to Westinghouse isn't good enough, you supply what they ask for and then they want more and more! Westinghouse state they provided an example of what was needed NO they didn't! Westinghouse has had complaints in the last months, and they have a F gradeThe problem with the TV I have that failed is due to a knowen problemthey just don't want to honor their warranty! They look for any excuse The letter attached from Target lists all required information for the warranty, but is missing a stamp (that is not existing), but than is validated in a direct email from TargetI believe that I supplied ample proof of the purchase and purchase date and the warranty should be honored! I do apologize for the inconvenience we have caused youUnfortunately when you file a warranty claim and it expires, just because you filed the claim before the year was over with does not mean that the warranty extends until you decide to ship the televisionThe warranty states that it is for year and it does have to be returned in that time frame for us to replace itSince the television was not returned to us in that time frame the televisions warranty is expired and any labor charges does fall to the customerI am sorry that we are not able to settle the dispute and follow on your wishesThe unit is out of warranty and we cannot replace it

However and it is unfortunate that we did indeed receive the TV in a very damaged state. In cases such as... this Westinghouse requires the customer to take it up to the freight company they used to ship the TV to us. All though it is unfortunate...we are following the warranty guide lines.Once again we apologize for the inconvenience.

The receipt the customer provided only states a check amount paid in the amount of $and policy on check payments The receipt needs to be specific on what the customer purchased, with what he provided it does not tell us if a TV was purchased or other items The receipt must include the following : Retailer it was purchased from Item purchased Amount paid for the unit Method of payment

We do not have a case under the customers nameI have created one for him and have requested additional information to continue with his claim
