Handicapped parking
I was just at wesmed medical at 210 westchester ave in harrison ny. It was very upsetting watching people coming in an out of the drop off area and had to park in the lot across the way because several vehicles that had handicapp tags never moved. I'm not saying they didn't have the right to park in the space but if you are working inside, you should be in the lot across they way and let valet park your vehicle and leave all those spaces available for patients who have appointments open. How sad it was to watch a woman who was on oxygen beg for someone to overcome so she could park and not walk far. Please you maybe handicap but if you work there consider parking right across in the lot

Poor service and quick stereotype
WedMed has definitely fallen in regards to customer services and speed of service. I worked in urgent care for 10 years and then did another career. We saw 15-20 patients an hour! I had 7 patents ahead of me. It took 3 hours to see me! I patiently waited without complaining. I wonder if it had anything to do with how Lakia took my information. First, she asked me for my last name and DOB, which is usually standard when you have been here before. But then she asked, "do you even have insurance"? Which was quite embarrassing. I took it in stride. But then she asked if my medical expense card was in my name! I asked her about the app and what I can do to make an appointment next time, she was completely rude and said she emailed it to me and that I could figure it out. I get it...they are busy but there are always better ways to communicate without being stereotypical and insulting. This will absolutely be the last time I come here. Go somewhere else for Urgent care.

Westmed has gone downhill
As a patient at Westmed for over 15 years, it is unfortunate to see how it has gone from the top-quality, multi-faceted medical service it used to be, to a conglomerate-owned, inefficient clinic. On several occasions, I had to give my address, telephone number, date of birth, and insurance information to someone who was only authorized to send my call to someone else who ultimately was not authorized to help me schedule the appointment. Most recently, I tried to make an EKG appointment and was put through the inefficient protocol described above. In the end, the appointment was not made because, as I was told, "only the doctor's office can make an EKG appointment." And I was speaking to a receptionist in Radiology. Additionally, the Westmed Portal allows me access to only my most recent test results--years of test results I once had access to appear to have vanished. I have made several attempts to inquire about this, but no one has an answer.

In short, while my primary doctors are the best, the conglomerate they now work for has done away with the quality of care Westmed was once known for in pursuit of their bottom line: making money. If you're looking for efficiency in scheduling, professionalism with intake and reception, and complete access to your medical records, you will not find that at Westmed.

Urgent care Boyce Thomson location
Horrible experience! I wish I could give them 0 stars. The medical assistant was beyond terrible. It was the Worst Covid testing experience I've ever had, and I've had over 100 test. She was super rough. When she did a strep test she didn't even look in mouth. She stood on my side and put in my mouth extremely rough. My throat was in pain for several days. I never write complaints but her medical treatment was unacceptable and should be addressed.

Coding Nightmare
So I go to get a colonoscopy...Screening mind you. Screening is covered by insurance (everywhere). Guess what, they found a polyp so they changed it to "diagnostic" and billed me since "diagnostic" is not covered by insurance. When I called them, they reiterated that since they found a polyp it was no longer a screening procedure and was in fact a "diagnostic procedure". I have checked with MULTIPLE other offices and yes they can do this, BUT its unethical and misleading. MOST other offices will bill as a screening exam...NOT WESTMED. Will never use them again

Westmed customer service and portal
I don’t think it matters what reviews you give. They never act on it. The Westmed portal is horrendous. No updates. Hardly any response to sent message. The answering service drives one nuts with the wait time. I don’t want to hear that it’s because of the high volume of calls on a Monday that calls get delayed in response. A voice prompt says “we’ll be with in five minutes and thirty minutes later you’re still on hold! Who’s running this s__t show!

Never use WM. You would get better medical service at Home Depot.

Impossible to contact them, Call center basically nonexistent
I went to Westmed urgent care for a shoulder injury and was give an 'Urgent' referral to an orthopedist. Problem is that it's *impossible* to get through to them. Their web site scheduling portal, after taking me through the scheduling process, aborted and told me I'd need to 'call to schedule an appointment. The first time I called I was prompted to receive a call-back, which I received 2 hours later, but then the attendant put me on hold for another 20 minutes, and the call disconnected. The scheduler, even though he had already taken my info and had my callback number never called back. I tried calling again, and this time held on the line, but gave up after holding for *2 hours*! Awful service. time to move my medical records and go elsewhere...

Gastro dept should be gone!
I plan on filing a formal complaint. I have NEVER witnessed such a horrible, unprofessional, disruptive and uncaring dept in my life. They change appts without telling me (several times), they give me different info re: scheduled procedures according to who I speak with and they do NOT get back to me. I am STILL waiting on results from two MRIs done there several weeks ago. This is highly unethical treatment all around.

Lack of professionalism
Today I had an appointment with Dr. Hadi and the nurse and the supervisor was very unprofessional. I checked in for a 12pm appointment and sat there for 20 minutes without anyone assisting me. So I went to the front desk to find out what the problem was, and get to find out that the nurse put me as a no show. The front desk went and told her that I am here and she saying that I wasn’t there. She never look but I guess she didn’t want to deal with other patients since it was lunch time she make up a lie that I was not there. She eventually took me to the room never apologized took my vitals never mention that the doctor it taken 20 min for lunch. So I sat in that room for another 15 minutes. The time is now 12:45 and I have to leave cause I have to drive my husband who has cancer to Rye for treatment at 2. I am really upset cause Westmed proclaims that they are all about professionalism and that not what happen today. Everyone was coving for each other and no one seems to care about my feeling. This all happen today 4/13/[email protected].

CALL CENTER
I have been on hold for 36 minutes and counting to return a call left on my answering machine. Westmed has thee WORST call center. In addition their billing system is horrible. A bill is received in the mail and on the same day, I logged on to pay and cannot because they sent it to collection!. There are too many doctors in other groups that are world class. Westmed is horrible. FYI...I'm stll on hold waiting for the call center to answer.

Why would anyone choose Westmed?
Westmed hasn'treceived one good review on this site. In my years of experience as a Westmed patient; no outside doctor or pharmacy enjoys doing business with Westmed. For them or patients like myself, it's outrageous to have to call an answering service in the Carolinas to make an appointment in Rye or White Plains, New Yorik. When a recording says a representative is busy serving other customers, it feels like I'm calling Costco. Then it takes a good five minutes to tell the customer service rep what the issue is and what doctor you're trying to contact. After some going back and forth until the rep gets the message right, he reads it back to you and says he'll e-mail the message to the right party and that someone will get back to you "by the close of business today." Who needs that when you can call direct to another doctors office and speak to a nurse or assistant right away? The problem or request is handled immediately.

I wish there was a zero star rating. I had an appointment at WestMedGroup urgent care in Stamford 9 days ago for acute sinusitus. I told the doctor that it was a chronic condition and that I needed Augmentin and oral steriods. She refused to prescribe oral steriods because my blood pressure was border line high but agreed to prescribe the Augmentin. The prescription was called in a day late and it was for Amoxicillin not Augmentin. 9 days later I am still suffering. WestMedGroup refuses toi contact the doctor and says that my only recourse is to pay for another appointment. This is terrible patient care. They are great at billing but terrible at patient care.

I have been waiting 6 weeks for a medication to treat my chronic diarrhea. I get my 3 month supply of medicine from Cigna Home Delivery. The gastroenterology department at Westmed has been the worst department in returning calls. I had foot surgery 5 weeks ago and am on1 foot. Going to the bathroom is the worst part of my daily routine especially with chronic diarrhea,, made worse by chronic diarrhea, without my medication. They have been inhumane.

Westmed is a substandard provider that never keeps to the appointment times. The service is always late, without exception. The provider does not have any regard to its patients or the time they waste waiting for appointments that do not go ahead as scheduled. There are no updates or information provided, let alone an explanation or an apology for the delays.

I personally dropped off my sons vaccination record 3 weeks ago to the office of Dr. Herzog. I asked the women behind the desk to make sure the doctor received it since it was faxed from his pediatrician's office (they have a receival notice confirming it was sent) but my son was told they didn't have it. I assume the women who I gave it to, threw it in the garbage, because the office still has no record of receiving it. Your people on the front line are USELESS. The cause so much stress and it reflects poorly on your organization.
