Review: My daughter, [redacted] had a couple of consultations with [redacted] regarding beauty marks on her face. She was concerned that it would not be approved by insurance and wanted to be certain that they would be before having the procedure done. He had assured her that they would be covered by insurance so she proceeded to have them removed. This was back in 2012,needless to say the procedure was not covered. For one year, the Dr.'s office tried to get payment from the insurance company, then basically said it was up to my Dr. to pay. The bill was originally $1200 and he only knocked off $900. She would have never had the beauty marks removed had she had to pay! She explained that to him from the beginning. Because of this he should have agreed to accept whatever the insurance company had offered to pay and not asked for any more! If it was covered he would not have gotten the full amount of the procedure would he have?! My daughter went back and forth with the billing department for a year, trying to get the Dr.to work with her. She wanted to understand why she had to pay , why he couldn't work with her. By the way, I should mentioned that the Dr. is part of the Westmed Group and that is the billing department that we had to deal with. She spoke to the customer service reps, spoke to the supervisors no one could help us. They could have knocked this down to $200 and been happy with it, especially after she was told it would probably cost her a $10 co payment! With all that being said, they ended up sending her to collections, even after she had been working with them and then when she needed to go see another Dr. she was told her she could not visit any of the Dr.'s in Westmed because she owed this money! She ended up having to pay the $900 because she was in pain and needed to go see her medical dr.!!! All because of this and this inconsiderate man who call himself a Dr. By the way, I also spoke to the office mgr who was of no help! We would like our money back. Unfair!!Desired Settlement: We would like our money back,if he needs to take any money, it should have been a couple of hundred dollars, this was totally unfair to my daughter! She tried to work with them, but they didn't care!
