July 1, 2014In response to the complaint filed by [redacted] our response is as follows:The vehicle was test driven and a 'deposit was placed securing the contract. The contract listed an option for a used car warranty which was declined by the complainant. Therefore the vehicle...

was sold "A5-I5" without any implied or expressed warranty. The complainant drove the vehicle around 200 miles and the alternator had failed which is to be expected on a used vehicle. Our assumption was it was good at the time of sale and failed after but either way that is the buyer's responsibility to correct. The buyer did contract Us to replace the alternator with a [redacted] rebuild which we did. Then a few days after we were contacted again and told the alternator was not charging correctly. I secured a replacement at a [redacted] store closer to the buyer's home location. It has been thirteen days since the alternator was replaced and we have not heard back from the complainant Even though the vehicle was sold "AS-IS", we did our best to accommodate the complainant. We cannot control the longevity or lack of in a used vehicle but we know to the best of our ability the alternator was operating properly at the time of sale.

Review: I brought a vehicle from Pennslyvania and it is not reliable enough to get me and my family back home to SC they offered to fix it at my expense and I am scared to chance driving it because I have been stranded on 95 in [redacted] for 8 hours the very first day I really think the salesman and the in house mechanic knew about the issue and sold it to me with out telling me this vehicle had these problemDesired Settlement: I came all the way from Sc called them in advance told them where I was traveling from and [redacted] the salesman told me it was a good running truck got to pa looked at it started it up and gave them $1000 deposit salesman keep saying call me a day before youpick it up so I can have it clean for you...I did that and when I picked it up it wasnt any signs of the vehicle being washed...I think it was an intentional rip off
