White Lotus Photography Reviews (3)

Professional Maternity & newborn photos done in nov/dec2015. Following full payment in Feb, photographer did not return one email or voicemailIn June 2015 I contacted White Lotus photography to book in for maternity /newborn photos. In nov 2015, maternity photos were done, I paid her $200. In Dec 2015 my son was born & we had newborn photos done, I paid her $200. I had not seen my maternity photos either. Before Christmas holidays, I contacted [redacted] the photographer. She said she couldn't show me the pictures until Jan 2016, I said ok & didn't hear from her again. I emailed her again in January, finally Jan 12, 2016 I got to see the photos. At the time of seeing the photos I had to decide what I wanted done with the photos. We agreed on 50 announcement cards & a photo album of my son. Totalling $660 for these 3 items. In Feb I send the final payment of $660. And from there [redacted] has not responded to one email or voicemail when I was looking for an update on these items.[redacted] End of June my husband goes to her studio twice, she does not answer door, he leaves 3 voicemail, she doesn't return. July 12, I file a police report because I don't know what else to do as I have paid this photographer in full & can not get ahold of her to find out what is going on. Nothing happens with the police file. Aug 31 my husband goes to her studio & she answers. She says the bag had been sitting out of her door for 3 weeks but she didn't let either myself or my husband know it was ready for pickup. There are no announcement cards & the album has my sons name on it in gold print but I didn't pick gold. Also there is a USB with unedited pictures randomly picked from my maternity & newborn photos. I was told in Jan when I was looking at these photos that she didn't give digital photos, so I feel like she put these on a USB to appease me as she took an unacceptable time getting me his album & no announcement cards. Sept 1 - I email her again (to the exact same email address I had been using up until our photo sessions were done) & of course no response [redacted] Desired Settlement[redacted] A refund in my mind is acceptable since I did not receive announcement cards, I waited 8 months for any product & have not had any response from her from March 2016Business Response Hello,In lieu of the announcement cards (75.00 value), the complete set of images from both sessions were given (value of over 500.00) so that Ms. [redacted] may make any gifts and prints, as desired. I have responded to all correspondences with Ms. [redacted] and have not received a response. Obviously there was some miscommunication while I was out of the studio (I do not check emails or phone calls while away). I will certainly refund the amount of the missing item (75.00 + tx) via original method of payment within 2 business days.Consumer Response (The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)White lotus -I would like to know what form of correspondence you are referencing, that you responded but I haven't responded? My email & phone number hasn't changed. This is the first time I have heard or had contact with you since previously mentioned, in March asking when I could expect my announcement cards & photo book. My photo book sat outside of your studio door for how long - 3 plus weeks? It was friends that finally let us know they had seen a bag with my name on it sitting outside of your studio. I did not receive any message from you that it was ready to be picked up? Your inclusion of the prints was nothing that we ever agreed on, nor was it communicated to me that they were in lieu of the announcement cards. I see it as being included because you took an unacceptable time getting me what I came to you for. [redacted]Yes I expect a refund. Along with being accountable for the above concerns I still have in this matter.

I met with [redacted] February for a photo session. On March 9, I met with her to review the photos she had taken and order a photo album. She informed me my album would be ready in approximately three weeks. I paid her the full amount for the services and album. After about 2 months of not hearing anything from her, I followed up by [redacted] message, emails and telephone messages. After about 2 weeks of me trying to contact her, she responded that she would look into the matter (she responded on May 11). After several more weeks of not hearing anything, I again followed up by sending her multiple emails, a [redacted] message and left multiple messages on her work and personal voicemails over the course of about ten days. I even attended her studio during studio hours and left a note asking her to contact me. I have received absolutely no response from her. No emails, no voicemails, no missed calls even. When I went to the studio, other tenants in the building indicated that they have seen her coming and going from the studio so she is still conducting business. She has also posted numerous pictures of other clients on the company [redacted] account in the time that I have tried to contact her. The last few times I have tried calling her with my cell, it now goes straight to voicemail and does not ring. When I call the same number with a different phone minutes later, it rings first before it goes to voicemail. Basically, she took my photos and approximately $1,300.00 and has not provided me the product that I ordered and refuses to get back to me to provide an explanation of why my album has not arrived and why it has taken her so long to get back to me. Clearly there was an error made on her part or else it would not be so difficult for her to get back to me or give me a refund.Product_Or_Service: Photo AlbumDesired SettlementI want an explanation of what happened to my order and why she would not return my calls. [redacted] Obviously, a refund would be fine as well. [redacted] Business Response [redacted] and I were able to come to an agreement [redacted]

I used this photographer for newborn photos for my son in February 18th, 2015. The session was $200 for the session only. On March 21, 2015 I meet with [redacted] to discuss the purchase of the images. I was advised if I wanted the images only that she would charge me $750 (plus tax) for the 47 images. Since I was not willing to pay that price I agreed to purchase a book of the photos along with the edited images for $650(plus tax) via credit card with the understanding I would have the edited photos and book within three weeks (I wanted the images only for mothers day).Three weeks went past with no contact from [redacted]. At the four week mark, I began and send several emails and made phone calls to find out where the images and book were. In my email I asked if I could get the edited images (that were paid for) if the book was not ready. [redacted] eventually emailed to say the book was expected to arrive in a weeks time and sent a link of the images for viewing and downloading, however the link did not contain any of the edited photos. The link she sent were with unusable images that I would not use for Mothers day.As I did not hear again from [redacted] in April, I began to email and call in late May until mid June. My phone calls were never returned. [redacted] did eventually respond to say that there was an issue with the book and it may never be received due to processing issues and that I would receive a refund. I did receive a copy of the edited photos on June 13, 2016 however it was too late for what I actually wanted the images for. [redacted] did provide refund of $300.00. She has not provided an explanation of the calculation of this refund and I am not satisfied with it as I then paid $350 for images I will not use (am willing to give the cd back). I have emailed [redacted] to indicate this but she will not respond.Product_Or_Service: photo book and imagesDesired SettlementI would prefer a full refund of $650 (plus tax) since I never received the book I paid for and I would have never purchased the images with out a book based her prices. However I am a fair person and since I do have the images I would accept $500(I have already received $300.00 leaving $200 outstanding).
