Hello,

I did speak to Mr [redacted] twice this week in regards to his vehicle. I do understand that he turned in his plates and cancelled the insurance on this vehicle. Sadly, that does not in any way mean that the vehicle was in fact sold. The only way to show that is to have a copy of the front and back of the signed over title. I did explain this to Mr [redacted] and he advised me that he does in fact have the contact information of the person who has the title. After I gave him this information, I did advise him he does need to call the collection agency as his file has been turned over to them. I hope this information is satisfactory. Thank you!

Review: I am writing this complaint because I was treated horribly and possibly discriminated against. I was visiting my daughter on Fri the 17th she lives in [redacted] at [redacted] When I got there which was around 6:30 there were no visitor spots available do to the fact that people with stickers (residence) park there and leave no spaces for visitors. I left my daughters at around 11:45 and my car was gone! She called the emergency number that the complex has and after 5 phone calls found out my car was towed to Whitey's in Hartford. It is now around 12:05. The woman on the phone (very snotty) said pick up times are 12-12:30 or 4:00-4:30. I said I am leaving right now and will do my best to get there on time, can someone please wait for me. She said hurry up! Upon arriving at the facility which by the way is dark and scary and looked closed, we were unsure what to do or where to go once we got there. There was a guy sitting in a truck parked by the road and made no effort to let us know he was the man waiting for our arrival. We pulled in and backed out and went around the side and came back to the front again, the whole entire time this guy is still sitting in the truck. He could at least have gotten out and guided us in the right direction. Finally he beeps at us, really?? Upon entering he was completely rude and VERY snotty. I said excuse me but I really don't understand why I am being treated like this I haven't done anything and this whole situation is very upsetting for me. He said I have been waiting for you for 40 minutes, which is untrue because we got there a little after 12:30 and my bill said the time was 12:40. I asked why my car I was just curious as to how they determine who to pick and he said very nastily I randomly drive thru the parking lots and see who doesn't have a sticker. That is fine but the system is flawed, did he pick my car because it is new? Why are cars with stickers allowed to park in visitor parking why are they towed? Employees are very rude and snotty.Desired Settlement: I feel if your going to tow one you better tow all and if there is designated parking for visitors people with stickers should not be there. Why aren't they being towed? It is a very flawed system and unfair. I learned my lesson the expensive way but how are their employees going to learn theirs??

Hello,

I will address the complaint in order of the issues listed. I'm not sure in the first line what the customer means about discrimination? I would need clarification on that. I apologize if she felt I was being snotty on the telephone, that was not my intention. Our pick up times are set in place so our commissioned drivers don't spend their whole nights waiting around our shop for people to pick up their vehicles. Normally we never ask those drivers to wait for people past the set scheduled times, but I knew this customer was traveling from a good distance and didn't want her to have to wait until the 4am pick up. This is why I urged her to get down there as quickly as possible. I do also apologize if my driver was rude, that is completely unacceptable. If the customer would like to supply the exact date and time of this incident I would be happy to try and watch the cameras, and reprimand him. Lastly, the final part of this complaint is out of the control of our company, the parameters of the contract are set up by the property. Whiteys does not have any say if residents can park in visitor or vice versa. Hopefully I have addressed all of the issues at hand, please let me know if there is anything further.

Thank you!
