After switching to this Dental facility at end of 2013, I realized I made a big mistake. After routine xrays, they showed I had some cavities that needed filling. So, being pro-active I decided to have them filled one at a time. First filling done, had root pain, prescribed antibiotics, then told I needed a root canal. Ok...had the root canal done.Tooth is now discolored from filling, then when he tried to "lighten" it, it made my tooth thicker than my original tooth. Now it sticks out and tooth is still sensitive. But how? if I have no root, there should be no pain. February 2014-Second tooth was filled, same symptoms as first. another round of antibiotics, dentist said I needed a root canal. at this point, it seemed like a "co-incidence" I needed a 2nd root canal. Something seems fishy here. So, because I was in pain, I went ahead and had another root canal done.( but decided to go to a highly recommended dentist to have it done. He was fantastic!)So at this point my dental insurance is pretty much wiped out, and it's only February! First tooth I had root canal done, had broke,so, since he did the root canal, he should repair it. I also had another tooth that lost part of a filling that I wanted him to look at while there. He repaired my broken tooth with some sort of cement and said since I was there, he went ahead and drilled out the lost filling and re-filled the 2nd tooth.Since then,I have had so much pain in that tooth, I am constantly on motrin. I went back due to so much pain, had an xray taken, more antibiotics, and he said there was nothing wrong with that tooth, but a tooth behind it looked "suspicious" and wanted me to get a second opinion. to have a second opinion, it is going to cost $80. Why do I have to keep paying someone else to fix his mistakes? I am very frustrated, angry and broke. Needless to say, we both agree that he is not the dentist for me. (even tho he was inexpensive and takes monthly payments, it's not worth this much aggravation!)I guess you get what you pay for!Product_Or_Service: root canals, fillings, 2nd opinionsDesired SettlementThe money it cost me to have a second root canal done (By the highly recommended dentist) after the original dentists filling failed and any future costs to repair this current tooth issue.Business Response [redacted] XXXXX (XXX) XXX-XXXXApril 7, 2014To Whom it May Concern;I have reviewed the notes and X-rays for Mrs_ [redacted], as well as the description letter sent through the Revdex.com.While I understand her concerns, it is also clear that she has a significant amount of dental decay, which warranted the treatment that she received. While we attempted to repair and restore the work required, it is clear that she has active dental decay and dental infection that warranted the treatment received, whether it was completed at our office or somewhere else.As a courtesy at this time, I would be willing to write off the remaining amount of [redacted] on her balance in order to close the account for her.would like to do.
