Review: I purchased a used forklift from [redacted] for $3,200.00. I purchased the forklift "as-is".However, Mr. [redacted] had been quoted a minimum price of $800 to repair the lift's hydraulics, and he did not disclose this information to me.Additionally, Mr. [redacted] guaranteed that the lift could have the cushion tires it had replaced with pneumatic tires. He claimed he had been assured of the tires' interchangeability by a local forklift repair service. The lift's tires cannot be replaced with pneumatic tires; I have verified this fact with two reputable forklift and tire shops.Finally, the engine is not running on all cylinders (one cylinder is missing). I did not know this fact at the time of purchase. I have no mechanical expertise and the engine's condition was pointed out to me later by a prospective buyer (who is mechanically inclined) and to whom I attempted to re-sell the forklift. Mr. [redacted] is a mechanic by trade.In sum, while I acknowledge I made this purchase "as-is", Mr. [redacted] failed to disclose the forklift's true condition: he withheld information about the machine's hydraulics and he should have been aware of the engine's condition as he is a mechanic (and the party who pointed the missing out was able to do it by just listening to the forklift run). He also misrepresented the lift's capacity to operate on hard ground (the issue of interchangeability of the tires).I have a signed statement from the business that gave Mr. [redacted] the quote for hydraulic repair and stating they assured Mr. [redacted] that the lift's cushion tires were only meant for use on asphalt and concrete. I am awaiting a signed statement from the party that discovered the engine was missing.I am now not in a position to re-sell the forklift as it needs substantial repairs, and I don't want to pass this thing on "as-is".
