Wholesale Motors Reviews (12)

Wholesale Motors did not, nor do we, take advantage of anyone We treat all of our customers the same with the utmost respect We tried several times and many different ways to appease this customer and the end result was giving her a full refund for the vehicle as well as the vehicle she traded in backWe even went as far as to deliver her vehicle back to her and pick up the vehicle she purchased so that she would not have to be inconvenienced Wholesale Motors tries very hard to make sure every customer has a great experience here at the dealership and that they are satisfied with their purchase If not fully satisfied, as in this case, we gladly gave our customer her money back

We apologize that the vehicle was not ready in the time frame that we promised our customer When she came to the dealership she knew very well that the vehicle she wanted had not been through the garage yet When we started working on it, we realized there were a few more things that we needed to complete before it was safe for our customer We did miss the filler neck tube and the small holes above the struts in the rear (which is the reason for taking it to a second garage for a new set of eyes to help catch issues) but the rest of the vehicle was safe and in sound condition We then took it to an outside garage for a second look and the inspection sticker We can not be responsible for the fact that the other garage failed to see those same things The Inspection Officer for the state did scrape the sticker because the vehicle did fail for those two issues and did have a conversation with the garage that did inspect that vehicle He did NOT however shred their license as that is NOT the proper procedure *** then had someone from her work call and harass us here at the dealership, hollering at us and threatening us She was contacted right away after that incident and was told how unprofessional and unacceptable that was We in no way told her she would not get her money back, we gladly refunded her her deposit that she put down As for her trade in, she was told to have a tow truck come and get the car that it was already out and ready to be picked up She was told that by numerous employees here on a few different occasions When the vehicle was not picked up by the predetermined time, we legally began charging storage Unfortunately no one was in the office to accept the call from the Tow company and they refused to get the vehicle even after we spoke to *** and told her the car was out and ready to go At this time she is more than welcome to have her car towed off our lot, but the storage will need to be paid before We gave her a week to get the vehicle towed out of here before storage was charged That is a very fair amount of time The reason for not answering the phone during business hours is because the two sales guys that were working were both busy with customers outside selling vehicles There is always someone here from 8am-4:30pm Monday-Friday to answer the phones and the tow company was more than welcome to call between those hours to get the vehicle or just show upWe would have been more than accommodating in helping him get the vehicle if needed

Wholesale Motors completed a substantial amount of work to the vehicle before Mr*** purchased it including sway bar links, brake pads, rotors, E brake, and a lot of rust repair While the extra repairs that were requested were being competed, we spent our time and money to drop off and
pick up Mr*** so that he would not have to wait around while we completed those repairsThe vehicle passed Maine State Inspection standards when it left this lot and was sold We completed the extra repairs to the vehicle that Mr*** asked us to as a courtesy to him to show him good faith that we are a reputable company that stands by our product and our customers As for the vehicle not running at this point, we were not aware that it stopped running nor can we predict that a vehicle will stop running when we sell it We would have been more than happy to help Mr*** with this problem if we had been made aware of it Our warranty at the dealership is days/miles on Maine State Inspection items only and we stand by that warranty We are here to help out our customers and do the best we can to make sure everyone is satisfied with the vehicles they purchase

As stated above, Wholesale Motors, Inc tried numerous times to fix the issue with the vehicle for the customer at no cost to her even after her warranty period was up When we towed the vehicle back here to the dealership for the last time we noticed that someone had put a water pump in (which
we did not do here at the dealership) When we contacted the owner of the vehicle it was determined that the owner had a new water pump put on the vehicle after they put 15,miles on the vehicle in less than months and admitted that they did not put coolant back in after they changed it Our mechanic here determined that it was the lack of coolant that blew the motor in the Truck and not the lack of repairs that the customer is stating We expressed to our customer that we would be more than happy to help out with the cost and installation of a new motor for this vehicle but we would in no way pay completely for this work to be completed as it was not our fault the motor blewWe went as far as purchasing a motor for this vehicle in anticipation that the agreement we put forbuy the motor, they pay for labor-was a fair settlement and they would accept Unfortunately the customer has refused all offers from us to date and the vehicle sits in our lot waiting on a decision from them

[Whatever work was done on the vehicle prior to us coming on the lot to look at cars it not any of my concern What we were presented with was a vehicle that was supposedly "ready to go" It failed state inspection at another inspection station on points, yet still had a valid state inspection sticker (???) Some work was done on the vehicle at our request because it was necessary to make the vehicle safe and legal for operation on the road Other work remains unfinished One minor example is the rearview mirror, which is electronic and has failed so now there is no way to see behind the van while driving. The business states that they warranty their vehicles for days/miles We showed back up with the vehicle and the list of repairs that needed to be made in order for the van to be street legal within days of the purchase We have been told that parts are on order, etcetcuntil they just quit speaking to us Additionally, due to the mechanical failure of the vehicle, we have certainly not put miles on the vanit's just not possible since the thing won't run! My son and his wife saved for months, then borrowed from family to purchase this vehicle Now the company has $of their dollars, and we have NOTHING My son has been borrowing his father-in-law's truck for several months just to be able to get to work This van won't even travel around the block I want it repaired so that it runs, or Wholesale Motors can pick it back up at my house and return our money.]

A Maine State Inspections Trooper looked over the vehicle and removed the sticker , he then went to that sticker station and shredded their inspection licenseI asked the trooper what needed to be fixed and I was told the vehicle was not fixable. The Bureau of Motors Vehicles took over this case and I was assigned a Detective to retrieve my moneyThe Detective was given all money but my trade in, which I have yet to receiveI have been asked if I would testify in court by the detective. Regarding the delivery and accommodations *** claims took place are untrueI was told to pick up my vehicle the night beforeI called and was told it would not be ready*** and I agreed on a time the following morning because I had a o’clock clientI arrived at 8:am by taxi, *** -the owner was not there, vehicle not fixedI spoke with dealership office staff and was told vehicle would be ready at 10:amI had to cancel my 9:am client and have my supervisor come and pick me up at dealershipI was not provided with a loaner to make my client appointmentAfter 10:am I called and asked for a specific time so I could notify my client our appointment time may need to be changedI was told *** would be there in minutes before my afternoon appointment, he was hour late, after many unanswered calls to his cells phones as well as text messagesSo, after many calls from my office to confirm an actual delivery time, which changed multiple times, *** arrived hours later from the 10:00am initial time I had to call my client and change our appointment time, this was not the first time ***’s lack of customer service has interfered with my work schedule and subsequent loss of payMy supervisor was in the office during and witnessed the hours I waited as well as the owner of the agency , whom called the dealership to inquire as to why no one was calling me back. I tried to get my (car)trade in back and had towing companies call to verify car was accessibleNo one answered the phone during business hoursI called from my work cell twice and someone answered both times Both towing companies called again and again no one answered the phone, this is all within a matter of minutes and before 5:pm. I want the $for my trade in. I was told there was no rust on the vehicle and this is what I found, -this is just above the heavily rusted out section of the body the trooper said he could fit his arm into- Regards,

I test drove the car, which was on empty. I returned, notified owner vehicle was on empty and reported what I noticed from the short test drive. I was told all items would be taken care of: breaks, check engine light was on, wipers, rear wiper did not work. I was told the vehicle had been on the lot for ten days. I was not told it had not been in garage yet.   I was told by the Maine State Inspection Trooper after he removed the sticker he was going to leave me and revoke the sticker stations license , which is protocol and within the right of the Maine State Police- Inspections Unit.   I was told I had to meet the owner to discuss my refund. The BMV already had my complaint. I contacted the BMV informed them of the owners request and was immediately assigned a detective to retrieve my refund for me.   As I stated before, I called the dealership twice after each tow company called and someone answered the phone for my calls. I was told someone would be there to take the towing companies calls, which did not happen. I was then told by each tow company, one being [redacted], it is  policy to make contact with dealership before the release a tow truck to any facility. The dealership is open late, with portable phones and cell phones. Is it not helpful to the dealership to make salesmen available by phone until close? There has been nothing accommodating regarding this issue. Regards,
[redacted]

This vehicle had 77k miles on it when it was sold and personally delivered to her place of business by the owner in order to accommodate her work schedule.  The owner went out of his way not only to personally deliver the vehicle and bring all the necessary paperwork with him for her to sign,...

but to put her on a payment plan that worked with her budget at no extra cost to her.  The vehicle was inspected by an outside third party inspection station and there were a couple things missed by them.  The issues have since been repaired, the vehicle has been reinspected by an outside inspection station again and has been resold.  This means that the vehicle WAS definitely repairable and in very good condition.  We have since given [redacted] her money back that she placed for a down payment on the vehicle and wish her luck with finding a new one.

I purchased a [redacted] from wholesale motors at the time of the purchase I was told that I had a great car that it just had his annual 60,000 mile maintenance that the brakes were in great shape and there were no need to do any repairs to the brakes or rotors so I feel really comfortable in buying this car from wholesale motors also I was told by a guy name [redacted] the manager from wholesale motors that I would have to do know cosmetic or major repairs to the car for another 30,000 miles but when I brought the car home two days later the brakes and rotors were squeaking really bad in the car was shivering around 65 to 70 mile an hour so I gave wholesale motors a call back and keep in mind this was only a week after I purchased a car well the owner of the wholesale motors basically was rude and obnoxious he was disrespectful any show no mercy towards his customer then begin to tell me that I was just trying to get something for nothing and that pretty much I was just a loser s[redacted] and he didn't even give me a chance to even speak with him about the repair issue immediately hung up in my face and I'm here now making this report to the Revdex.com because I have felt that he has been rude obnoxious business owner and I feel like that customers of me like me that is a very good customer should be treated this way and I don't recommend anyone purchasing partslist dealership because of this issueProduct_Or_Service: carAccount_Number:[redacted]Desired SettlementI just would like the brakes and rotors replaced a price to repair job out its only going to be 250 bucks to 300 bucks for parts in about a hundred bucks for labor that is all I am asking for because that is only fair when you spend $27,000 and get a car with bad brakes and rotors that's all I'm sayingBusiness Response Customer asked the manager before he purchased the car four (4) times if he could replace the brakes. The manager told him "No" because he wanted to pay $2,000 less than our sale price. He was told that at the "list sale price" he would replace the brakes but at the price he wanted to pay we could not replace anything on the car. [redacted] was told not to purchase the vehicle if he didnt' feel good about it. He was given the wholesale Black Book value of the car and it was sold to him for that price because we were sending it to the auction. Yes, he purchased a $32,000 vehicle for $27,000 and he agreed at the time of sale that if anything came up with the brakes he was responsible for that. One week after the sale, we did repair a sunroof cover on the vehicle for free as a courtesy to him. After that repair, he said "Thanks so much, I will send you a lot of business. This is a great car and I love it. Thank you for doing everything we agreed on." Now three (3) weeks later he want us to repair the brakes that we had agreed on at the time of sale, he would be responsible for and he asked that same question four (4) times. Just remember, the manager told him at least three (3) times to not purchase the vehicle that we would rather send it to the auction and get the same price. The customer has been very rude and likes to threaten people. He is a prime example that not all business is "good" business. If you are a business owner, please avoid him. Our company did everything they committed to verbally and also contractually. We had a "We Owe" contract and the brakes were not included. The customer has trouble remembering his agreement with our company. He has been so very rude that we wish to never do business with him again. We have thousands of "great' customers and we operate on contracts and hand shake agreements like all the other companies in the United States. We have followed both of these verbatim. We have copies of all the legal documentation for this purchase if you need to have copies, just let me know. Look forward to hearing back from you.

Review: I have asked several times for 10 day pay off information, and our of each payment how much money goes towards the interest and principal . The owner refused to provide the information. Furthermore, he told me, if I wanted the information I needed to have an attorney call him. He is incredibly rude.Desired Settlement: I would like my 10 day pay off information. I would like to know how much money goes towards the principal and how much goes to interest.
