Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ***, and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below
I feel that given the unique case we are in where neither party was aware of the repairs this vehicle required, the suggestion I make of splitting the cost 50/is more than reasonable as a good faith effort. The $and oil changes is not doing anything to help this situation.

In regards to *** *** *** complaint, the check engine light did not come on until after the sale. He called within a day or two after the purchase and said the check engine light came on. Although the vehicle was sold as is, no warranty, we had him come in two
times and tried to fix and rectify the problem. We replaced a part and did the labor for free. We never had any known knowledge of the check engine light ever being on prior to the sale between Wicked Wheels and Mr. *** Happy Holidays!*** ***Wicked Wheels*** * *** *** *** ** *** ***

Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID[redacted], and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.
This has been closed as resolved, but only because I was not able to respond in time and it timed out. Problem is the company offered no resolution and this is not acceptable and I would like to re-open this. If the company wont do anything to correct their shady business practices, we at least need my complaint to be public for the future of other potential customers! Thanks
A dealer is required to drive the vehicle to assess the condition before filling out the condition paperwork and selling the vehicle and I was very easily able to find a major fault after having the vehicle less than 24 hours. I trusted that professional mechanics would have taken the appropriate steps to find this out before selling the vehicle. This vehicle was the property of the dealer since July (according to Carfax sales history) so there was more than enough time for them to do an appropriate check of this vehicle. Also, when I did bring it back, there wasn't any work done that fixed the faulty torque converter nor was any diagnosis done (changed transmission fluid on first visit, replaced a solenoid on second visit) so the check engine light would have remained on if not manually cleared which tells me it is not impossible to think the check engine light did in fact go on while Wicked Wheels owned the vehicle - (perhaps it went on, it was cleared and when it did not immediately come back on fingers were crossed and the hope was it was a minor issue that would allow a sale to be made without speculation??). My request at this point is that the cost of repair at the very least be split with me 50/50 as I would feel that would be an acceptable resolution if giving the benefit of the doubt that the dealer did not uncover the issue on their own prior to sale.  For me to be on the hook 100% is just poor business practice and says "sorry, you bought it, your problem now". Even though the dealer claims that they were not aware of the issue prior to selling it, it is obvious that the issue existed prior to purchase as there is nothing I did in the 24hours of owning the vehicle that would have blown the torque converter or clutches.  If the dealer is unwilling to do this, I request that the Revdex.com rating be adjusted accordingly and my complaint be public so that others can be aware of what they may be getting into. Regards,

In response to the complaint ID [redacted], we were more than willing to help him after he bought the car.  We spoke with him several times, and told him to bring the vehicle back in.  Our mechanic read the codes for the check engine light, he researched the codes and it said to change the fluids and possibly replace the solenoid (receipt attached).   We didn’t hear back from him after that was done. We tried everything what we could to fix whatever happened within the few days after his purchase. By state law, we have to fully inspect every vehicle before it goes up for sale.  We get the majority of our vehicles from auctions in Wisconsin.  If the vehicle requires too much work and money to fix it up, we send it back to the auction. With that in mind, we never knew his transmission would have to be replaced, or it would have been sent back to an auction. At this point, the best we can try to offer, in good faith, is we will give him two (2) years of free oil changes and $200 cash.   Sincerely, [redacted]Wicked Wheels[redacted]

These people [redacted] are not to be trusted. The company is more of a hang out for the wisconsin riders motorcycle club. They sell more cheap chinese scooters than anything else. The choppers they have are not built in house. They do not paint or fabricate. I discovered this after they wasted lots of my time. I was trying to get my bike repainted. I called before I showed up to get a estimate. After two and a half hours of waiting I was informed that [redacted] was to busy too see me. This happened three times. I will not go back again. A very talented gentleman who goes by [redacted] does the paint work for them. Contact him a save yourself a big hassle.

Review: Reid Murphy did not send me the title to the motorcycle I bought from him through ebay.Desired Settlement: I want the title to the bike, if not then I want him to pay for shopping the bike to me and back to him plus my money back. It said in the ad that he has clear title.

Response:

In regards to Mr. [redacted] not getting his title, it is because we had to get a REPLACEMENT title from the Wisconsin DOT due to a previous customer that used this motorcycle as a trade in, he did not fill the title out correctly. I have personally talked with Mr. [redacted] multiple times and have explained to him that I can only make the DMV move so fast. I should be getting the title towards the end of this week, or beginning of next week. The DMV typically takes 6-8 weeks.

I fully understand and acknowledge Mr. Allen wanting and needing his title. I will get it to him overnight when I get the title from the state.

Sincerely,

Wicked Wheels

Review: I purchased a 2003 Honda Accord from this company about 1 month ago. The deal was with no warranty and "as is" condition. The window sticker on the vehicle was clean and there were no noted issues. The day after I picked up the car, the check engine light came on. I contacted them and gave them the code that was coming up - P0741, Torque Converter Clutch Hydraulic Circuit Stuck Off. They said I could bring it in and they would take a look at it. I did and they said they changed the fluid and it seemed okay now and I appreciated the help. Less than a week later, the check engine light was back on with the same code. I called again and they said they would be willing to replace a part that was easy to get at (clutch solenoid) and would not charge labor since they would like to help me out. They did this and only charged a partial cost of the part. I appreciated that. Less than a week later, the light came back on, only this time I was experiencing some bad transmission issues. Second and third gear were slipping badly and reverse did not work. At this point I took it to a transmission specialist. They said that the 2nd and 3rd clutches were burned out and the torque converter was fried. Their opinion was that this was the issue from the begining. I had them take care of the repairs so I could have a working vehicle as soon as possible

I understand that the sale was "as is" and there was no warranty offered so I am responsible for vehicle repairs after I purchase the car. My issue is that I feel this was a pre-existing issue that should have been noted on the window sticker (and then I would not have made this poor purchase). I can understand if they did not know what the extent of the issue was - but I feel that the check engine light was a sign that more diagnostic work was required before they could sell the vehicle. I believe they cleared the check engine light and crossed their fingers that it would not turn on again before they made the sale.Desired Settlement: I feel this company should be responsible for the cost of the transmission rebuild or at least a significant portion of it. The total came to $2,649.52 (I am not including the cost of a new motor mount that was required). I have sent them a copy of the invoice and requested they do "something" to make this right. I have not received a response.
