Wild About Dance Competition held a regional competition at *** *** ** *** on February 15, One of our business partners dance studio did attend this
competitionOur scoring system and judging is completely fair and unbiasedThe partners dance studio is not affiliated in anyway with our competition businessIt is a separate entityOur judges do not know who or where any of the students competing are fromHer students and parents were made aware of the fact that they were just competing for adjudication onlyAdjudication means they can win a trophy from Gold-DiamondThey however, can not win cash prizes, overalls or titlesThey were made aware of this and agreed to attend anyways for the adjudication award and the practice
As for how many acts a studio can bring to a competition there is no limit. There are many studios that bring well over 107 entries to one competition. If you research any competition you will see that there is no limited on how many entries one studio may haveAll studios received the same discount not just local studios every studio who attended got the discount because it is our first year
All score sheets are sent to the studio owners the week after the competition! The studio who won the most awards were extremely talented and were given the awards appropriatelyAlso there is no one from any studio on the Wild About Dance Competition Staff. A studio owner from this competitions is choreographing for one of our Fall Conventions as are many studio owners from across the countyThis is in no way affiliated with our competitions or judges
We did not cater to any specific studio by having the competition on one dayWe had several studios that could only attend on Satand the number of entries we had fit in the Saturday ScheduleWe did however run behind because of technical difficulties with music and other things beyond the competitions controlThis can happen at any competition a studio attendsWe resolved the issues and moved forward as quickly as possibleWe do our best to offer a well running, fun competition where studios can gain experience in competing and show off there talentsWe have had several competitions since this competitions which all ran smoothly and fabulousWe feel that this complaint was made because the studio this parent is from is a local studio who is in direct competition with our business partners dance studioThey made accusations with out getting all of the factsThis is in no way a local competitionWe are a national dance competition and we hold events all over the northeastWe feel that this person should not get there money refunded because we provide exactly what she paid forHer daughter and all the students who attended danced and received a score and awardAlso no students were required to stay there all dayThe tiny students were done by mid eveningWe schedule the tiny students in the morning, the preteen students in the afternoon and the teen and seniors at nightThere was no reason for a tiny child to have to stay there the whole day if they were not competingWe hold several awards sessions through out the day so that this does not happenIf parent choose to keep their small child there in to late hours of the night to "support" there dance studio that is their choice and does not reflect on the competition
We hope to resolve this issue with this explanationIf anything further is need from us we are willing to address that as well
Sincerely,

Review: My child and may other children Competed in this "dance competition" the weekend of March 15th. Before the Competition took place I was informed that the Competition owners very own dance studio would also be coming to perform at the Competition. I was very concerned that it wouldn't be a fair playing ground for any child to Compete against. But I was reashored that her kids could not win and we're only dancing for adjudication and would not win any money or prizes but she had all of her very own dance parents pay to compete in a competition that they could never win. How is that fair. But that is not my only problem with this business. When we got to the Competition there was another studio there who brought 107 acts and won every award there was to win. I felt as if we had to pay to watch another studio dominant and perform their personal recital. The studio who won had extreme talent and deserved to win I just feel as if the event planner knew in advance that this was going to happen because she went to all local studios and "cut Them a break" on entrance fees just so the large Pittsburgh studio wasn't competing alone. Also no score sheets were given to any owner at the end of the night as it is stated. the studio who won everything has a dance teacher on the wild about dance competition staff. And the event planner also catered to this studio by only having the Competition in one day Instead of two because the larger school couldn't make it on the second day. So the Competition ran from 7am-1am 18hrs is totally Insane for young girls. How can this woman go to sleep at night knowing she took advantage of small town people and charged them for them to attend an event just to watch someone else win and crush the dreams of young girls and have them all feel defeated when leaving.Desired Settlement: I feel that I should my their entrance fee money back and be reimbursed 56$ 48$ 32$ = 136 dollars for my daughters 3 entries

Wild About Dance Competition held a regional competition at [redacted] on February 15, 2014. One of our business partners dance studio did attend this competition. Our scoring system and judging is completely fair and unbiased. The partners dance studio is not affiliated in anyway with our competition business. It is a separate entity. Our judges do not know who or where any of the students competing are from. Her students and parents were made aware of the fact that they were just competing for adjudication only. Adjudication means they can win a trophy from Gold-Diamond. They however, can not win cash prizes, overalls or titles. They were made aware of this and agreed to attend anyways for the adjudication award and the practice.
