My 88 year old mother in law had a clogged toilet. Called Wild West Plumbing. Plumber told her that her toilet was 19 years old and "worn out". Sold her a new toilet. Then insisted on checking her furnace. Told her it was also 19 years old and could go at any moment. Tried to sell her a new furnace.

Review: This company should be ashamed on what they charge my 84 year old mother. $499.00 The total time of service 1 hr 45 mins it took 30 mins to run the snake in her pipes and the rest of the time was tapping plastic down on the floors, what happen to the slip on's that go over your shoes? And when did we have to pay for them to cover flooring? I'm a honest person and can not understand their policy . Called 3 times and they hung up on me , that speaks for its self.Desired Settlement: Display on web site

On 06/12/2015 I hired Wild West Plumbing to hook up my cold water to run through my soft water system so my appliances would no longer be damaged/ruined by the hard/water and also wanted them to install a faucet that we had previously purchased (not from them). I was at work when the plumber showed up but my husband was home. I was called at work and was told by the plumber that the water couldn't be ran through the softener but he would install the faucet. I told him to go ahead and install the faucet, but he never gave me a price for the installation. Because he told my husband I agreed to install the faucet, my husband signed their form authorizing this to be done, thinking I had already been told the price and had authorized it. The plumber added two small valves to the copper tubing and installed MY faucet. When I got home after work I found the bill was $758!! I was very upset and questioned my husband as to why he would agree to this and he said he was told I authorized it.
This company uses a thing called "straightforward pricing" which, after much research, I found out it is not an "honest (meaning of straightforward)" way to charge people. The purpose of it is to dishonestly inflate the charges without the customer knowing what is going on.
I called to complain about the charge and asked how they calculate their bill as I was charged a quantity of 3 (changed from a 2) @ $233 each---$233 was the amount listed on the bill as "repair fee". The fees range from $59 to $1140. I asked the lady who answered the phone how the fee was determined and if the quantity of 3 was because the plumber had hung around for 3 hours? She told me that it had nothing to do with the number of hours but she could not tell me why there was a quantity of "3" and said I would have to discuss it with the owner, however the owner never returned my call. I called several times to talk to someone about these charges but was told they were still "out of town" and never received a return call. My husband finally contacted the owner who cut the bill to $400 but would not cut it lower than that as he said "I have to make a little profit".
Needless to say, I will NEVER, EVER, do business with this DISHONEST company again! I will gladly tell anyone who want to listen, my experience with Wild West Plumbing. (I have talked to several plumbers since this was done and ALL of them have told me this fee was highly inflated).

Based on a referral from a family member, we contacted Wild West Plumbing. They set up an appointment and arrived as promised. We hired them to install a comfort height toilet for an aging family member. The old toilet was over 20 years old and was having issues in itself, but the height was the bigger most motivating reason for hiring a plumber. The plumber that arrived, was neat, covered his shoes each time he entered the house, and to our surprise, installed the new toilet on the spot. While there we also had him take a look at the shower that was continuously dripping and scheduled another appointment for that to also be replaced. This time the faucet and shower head were the originals - over 50 years old. Again, they arrived on time as scheduled, and there was no clean up for me or for my family member.
I would highly recommend folks to call and work with Wild West. Having worked in the Construction industry, I found their billing process to be fair and reasonable. Plumbers have always seemed to have a slightly elevated cost, but when dealing with older plumbing, you really have no clue what you are getting into until you open things up.
If you are looking for a plumber, I would highly recommend that you consider Wild West as your plumber. I know they will be the first ones I call in the future.
