I want to express my extreme satisfaction with Willard's and the people who work there. The dedication and professionalism were outstanding. I was traveling through in my motorhome and had a recurring problem. They worked at it, trying several ideas to get it fixed. Finally, I would not have been able to complete my trip with my wife and two grandchildren without their help, especially Willard himself, Craig and Jeremiah.
If anyone has trouble around Billings, I wholeheartedly recommend Willard's. I was able to continue through Idaho, Utah, Colorado, Nebraska, Iowa and Illinois back to Chicago with their help.

I recently took my car into Willards to get it checked out. my car has a shift cable problem but I've been using it for over a year. When I got it back I drove it to the other side of the parking lot and left it over the weekend. Everything seemed to be okay except for the fact that my shift cable was moved quite a bit making it harder to put back into park. I picked up my car after the weekend and drove maybe a mile or two and stopped. I tried to put the car back into park and the shift cable snapped. I asked them not to do any fixes because I didn't have the money but I didn't expect to get my car back in worse condition then it already was. I then called them seeing if they would help at least put it in the condition it was before I brought it to them and they were nothing but rude about it. They claimed it's not their fault and they won't do anything. All they said is that they could "look" at it if I got it there, but I can't even drive it. They were unwilling to help me with a tow. I've since decided not to take it back to them anyways in fear that they will do something worse to it. These people are by far the worse mechanics in Billings. I paid 78 dollars just for them to look at it and now it's completely broken. How can a business even get away with that?

Brought my 2009 Nissan Altima into Willards for some AC work after moving to Montana. I am pretty good mechanically and had already done some troubleshooting of my own. I noticed that the compressor clutch was not engaging and that the the low side refrigerant was extremely high (which to me said that the system was blocked) I told Willard about this at the time I dropped the car off at his shop. Willard proceeded to imply that I shouldn't even attempt to trouble shoot my own vehicle; this is best left to the "professional mechanics" that worked at his shop. He quickly disregarded my findings and assured me that he would call once they found out what the problem was. Willard called later that day and said the compressor was bad and needed to be replaced, I approved the repair and payed him $900 expecting the problem to be fixed. Unfortunately only a couple of miles down the road my AC was STILL blowing hot. I returned to Willards a little aggravated, yet again Willard assured me the problem would be taken care of. Two days later I returned to pick up my car, Willard informed me that they had not properly tightened a fitting and all the refrigerant had leaked out of the system. This time it was fixed for sure Willard stated, Unfortunately for me I was greeted with my AC bowing hot AGAIN. I returned to Willards YET AGAIN to be greeted by the mechanic that had performed the faulty repairs on my vehicle. He seemed stumped that the problem had not been fixed to which I told him about my original troubleshooting and asked about the condenser. He said "oh really?" We then walked out to the car and after looking at the condenser he said "yep it's smashed". I WAS FURIOUS! After fixing the condenser I was out a total of $1500 and I had diagnosed the problem better than Willards "professional mechanics". AC worked for a total of 2 weeks and went out again. Willards wanted to charge me $475 for a leaking hose that they caused and would not stand by their mistake. Needless to say I will not be returning to this scam shop and I would strongly urge you to not waste your time and money at Willards.

I had a wonderful experience with Willard's Garage this week. While passing through Billings, my motorhome developed two serious problems, and the manufacturer referred me to Willard's. They took me in immediately, diagnosed the problem right away, worked with the manufacturer to expedite shipping of the necessary parts, stayed in contact with the manufacturer tech to ask questions on procedures for the repair. The repairs were done very quickly, efficiently, done well, and everyone there was extremely nice and helpful, especially[redacted], the owner. He was directly involved throughout the whole process, keeping me informed of each step, supervising his employees and doing some of the work himself. He also gave us recommendations for what to see and do in Billings while we waited, and restaurant recommendations as well. Never have I had such a great experience with a garage/mechanic. Would highly recommend this business.
