Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response submitted by the business and have determined that the response does not satisfy or resolve my issues and/or concerns in reference to complaint # [redacted]. .
Harris Furs reply is the fabrication, not my account. They replied I had not cleaned or repaired the furs.  One was old and I acknowledged it needed repairs when I left the items in May 2015.  The fox fur had not been worn in years and was stored prior to consignment. At one point I was contacted about a possible sale if I would take less, and I agreed. That is the first I heard from them until I received an invoice with note from [redacted] about storage charges, dated June 2. I called Harris, and was told to leave a message for [redacted], which I did on June 23. I also sent my first letter about the charges. I got no rely from him.  Then I received a statement of account dated August 23 for the storage fees.  I repeat I was never told about storage fees when I consigned. Late in August I received a 2nd bill for which I replied on September 1 in a letter enclosing all documentation I had.  At NO time was I belligerent or threatening to staff! The situation was frustrating as I had made attempts to contact [redacted].  I received only 2 invoices ( dated Jun 2 and August 23 ), not the number Harris indicated. I certainly did not make a nasty call after each one each month as I called once and left a message for [redacted] another time.  That was all.  Communication was very scant from Harris. In my complaint to the Revdex.com I suggested Harris could find a Boston market for the furs and keep the proceeds. That would have been a fair response. since I law says they can seize the Furs, I agree to let them do that, using the proceeds to pay my invoice. All that is needed is for Harris to admit their communication is faulty as is their service, keep the furs, and drop the complaint.
Regards,

To Whom it may concern:William H Harris Furs is writing in response to the complaint # [redacted] filed on 9/1/2017. This claim is a fabrication of what transpired with this client. This customer claims that she does not want her furs.  Unfortunately, neither does anyone else. ...

In May of 2015 the customer wanted the furs consigned for re-sale without cleaning or repairing them.  After two years of no interest in these garments we notified the customer that the pieces had not sold and we were discontinuing our consignment services for her.  In January of 2017 She was told that she had to make arrangements to have the garments picked up or delivered by February 15 or storage charges would be added to her account. She became belligerent and threatening to the staff, claiming that she did not want her furs and it was up to us to sell them.  We informed her repeatedly that her furs were not salable and no one had any interest in them. We sent invoices and statements each month.  Each was followed by a nasty call from the customer berating the staff who simply informed her that she needed to pay her bill and arrange to retrieve her garments.  She has refused to do so.  Rhode Island has a law that protects businesses from such customers.  It is the businesses right to seize and dispose of abandoned garments, and make all legal efforts to collect delinquent charges. These remedies include reporting the delinquency to a collections agency, reporting the delinquency to the Credit Bureaus and placing a lien on the customers personal property to guarantee payment for services rendered. We are owed $109.90 (Storage for 2017 for two garments). As you know,  by law we can add late fees, penalties and interest to these charges if not paid.We do not wish to do any of these things as they can all be avoided if the customer simply pays her bill and makes arrangements to retrieve her garments. William H Harris Furs
