About five years ago I paid over 4,000 dollars for Williams Home Center to replace my entire roof with a 30 yr. shingle also all vents except they didn't replace the stove metal vent. Since that time the stove metal vent has leaked into the ceiling. After years of requesting Williams Home Center to fix the problem the owner came out about 3 months ago and conducted some repairs, but didn't the vent still leaks today. I made a few repairs myself when that failed I contacted [redacted], [redacted]. another roofing company to hopefully repair the leaking.Desired SettlementI would like for [redacted] to repair the leaking and have Williams Home Center pay for the repairs at no more cost to me. Business Response I WAS AT THE COMPLAINTANTS HOME ABOUT 3 MONTHS AGO. I REPAIRED WHAT I THOUGHT WAS THE PROBLEM. I ASKED THE COMPLAINANT TO CONTACT ME IF IT DID NOT FIX THE PROBLEM. I DID NOT HEAR FROM THE COMPLAINANT SO I ASSUMED THE LEAK WAS TAKEN CARE OF. I CONTACTED THE COMPLAINANT THIS MORNING AND HAVE OFFERED TO GO TO THE COMPLAINANT'S HOME AGAIN TO TAKE CARE OF THE PROBLEM. AS SOON AS HE LETS ME KNOW WHEN HE WILL BE HOME I WILL MAKE THE NECESSARY REPAIRS.Consumer Response No I haven't any new information regardingWilliams Home Center's response during a conversation on 1/12/2014. I explained what my repair options were. Fruitless bickering exhausted all means of cooperation. I will contact and advise WHC ASAP of my decision to hire another company. Due to Mr. [redacted] conniving and unprofessional attitude I seek no further arbitration at this time. Final Business Response My intent when I talked with the complaintant on 12-1-14 was to resolve the problem.I offered to go out and fix the problem if complainant would allow me to do so. I was not coniving nor unprofessional in my conversation with complainant. I again offered to go out and fix the problem on the morning of 12-2-14. I apologized to him for any perceived unprofessionalism on my part. I attempted to resolve the complaint by offering to make necessary repairs, but the complainant will not allow me to do so.
