Williams Tax Accounting

Complaint[redacted] gave incorrect tax advice which resulted in IRS garnishment of my wages.Williams prepared my 2011 taxes and assured me I was allowed all my deductions. He told me that I could claim the house I was living in even if it wasn't in my name if I had proof of paying the mortgage and the owners permission. I had both - the owner even wrote a letter stating I had permission. Taxes were filed.....well the IRS said I wasn't and informed me I owed them over $1000.00. Williams said not to worry about it and he would handle it. He advised me not to contact the IRS and he would call them and get it taken care of. I continued to receive letters from the IRS with interest added to what they said I owed them.Williams said to just send them to him - he would handle it all. I started getting certified letters. I would take them to his office - he was hardly every there. One day I caught him there and demanded that I be on the call to the IRS. When we called it seemed like they didn't know much about the "case". Like he hadn't even contacted them. They informed us that the IRS had made their decision and it stood. I owed the $$. Williams said that we were going to the Insurance Advocate and get them on it. Yeah - right. What a mess. At this point he started getting impossible to reach. Wouldn't return phone calls or emails. Never in the office. Never heard anything back form the insurance advocate - I don't think he even contacted them. About a month went by and finally the IRS sent a letter to my employer to start garnishment of my wages. I called Williams and of course he is not in the office and does not call me back. I sent him an email, left a voice message and also a message with his assistant....NOTHING. I requested that he take care of the $$ since he was the "tax professional" or at least refund me the $$ that it cost me for him to prepare my taxes. He had been preparing them for almost 10 years. I trusted him and trusted his advice. My mistake. I just recently went on the Revdex.com website to look them up and what do you know.....this very same complaint happened to them. I could not believe it. BE VERY WAREY OF WHO YOU TRUST. Desired SettlementI would like Williams Tax Accounting to refund half of what the IRS is coming after me for. In good faith I trusted this guy.
