Williamson & Co. P.C. Reviews (6)

Dear Sir/Madam:This is in response to the 2/29/complaint letter we received from Revdex.com (complaint ID: ***).Regarding Ms***'s complaint statement, we would like to set the record straight by pointing out to you (and Ms***) the following:Our station offers both full-service and
self-service filling optionsThere are two large signs (Please see the attached picture) that clearly indicate the full-service lanes, something that Ms*** ought to have seen herself in the first place when she pulled into the full-service lanesAnd the fact that our employee showed up to fill up her car should have indicated to her that she was not in a self-service laneAs is typically the case, full-service filling is priced higher than self-service because we have to account for our employee's time (which, by the way, is $per hour)Ms***'s incorrectly incorrectly claimed that "there was no markings anywhere that indicated that full service was that charge"The price of the different grades of gasoline is shown in all our pumps (please see the attached picture)It is no surprise that by the time she asked for the gas price her car's tank was almost full as, by her own account, it took Ms*** "less than about or min tops" to ask the employee the price per gallonFinally, Ms*** stated that "They should have to advertise this price as well to keep anyone else from being victimized"As stated above, our price is there for anyone to seeMoreover, we don't victimize our customers (if we did, we'd be out of business long time ago) and no one victimized Ms*** in this particular event. We do appreciate having the opportunity to state our record and to respond to Ms***'s erroneous statementsShould you have an y additional questions regarding this matter, please feel to conduct us again anytime

I am rejecting this response because: The pictures submitted are degradedIn a car, we didn't see any of these signs talked about in the letterThe employee approached so quickly to our carHe should have stated the price up frontAll he asked was if we wanted full service, which a long time ago, meant an extra or added on NOT almost over the price of that was seen by us on the sign by the road as we pulled inIt doesn't take an hour to process a car so it doesn't justify charging per gallon that much moreIt was for less than minutes of workThe full service price should be as prominent as the charge was on the signAlso, he didn't even remember my card was in his pocket and he asked for payment again after the pump was completedHis tone of expressing himself in this letter also serves as to unprofessional he isHe is insulting to my views and makes it appear I'm a liar about these eventsI wouldn't waste my time with this if I planned on being insincereI have no reason to insult him other than how I was treated that dayAll I want is for all prices to be advertised as plainly as the cheaper rate gas on the large sign by the road and around the station.

Complaint: ***
I am rejecting this response because: As I stated in my first reply I had two attorneys. If is correct that the second one contacted Mr*** on 2/15/but it is impossible that he said that Mr*** would need to testify in business days because at that time the trial date was not event set. It was set several weeks later for the week of May 22nd; thus, not two days, but more than three months. I find Mr***’s comment about bullying rude. I submitted my email for review and a third party can see if it was appropriately written or notMy only channel of communication were emails and they are all available for review
Sincerely,
*** ***

Mr. [redacted] seems to be confused regarding the timeline on this engagement. I won't respond again to the details already addressed in the original response. This engagement started on 12/22/16. The attorney Mr. [redacted] refers to as giving us guidelines was not brought into this until 2/15/17 when I first spoke to him. At that point I expressed my concerns about continuing this engagement given the issues we were having with Mr. [redacted]. The attorney informed me that I  would need to testify as an expert witness in 2 business days. This was the first time I was aware that there was a court date. In discussing this with my staff accountant who was working on the engagement I find out that Mr. [redacted] has approached her about working with him independent of the firm. I find this incredibly unprofessional and dishonest. We attempted to work with Mr. [redacted] over the course of this engagement. But his bulling tactics to force me to testify as an independent  "expert witness" based on his determination of the "facts" are not something I could or will do.

Mr. [redacted] engaged my firm to determine the income and equity contribution in regard to a lawsuit regarding real estate owned with his ex-wife. From the outset, Mr. [redacted] tried to determine how the work would be performed and what the outcome would be. In my initial phone call with the client I...

explained to him that if we were to provide expert witness testimony we would need to work independently and reach our own conclusions. We quoted an initial fee of $700. The client schedule more appointments after the $700 fee was paid and continued to have us work on the project at his request knowing that there would be additional fees. Mr. [redacted] repeatedly tried to control our work going to far as to request our work papers to he could do the work himself and then have me attest to it. This is not something I can do as a [redacted]. He even refers to my statement in his complaint. - “I would point out that [redacted]’s recent email is once again directing our work and asking me to sign his work product and attest to it. He either does not understand the requirements for a [redacted] to perform an attest engagement or does not care. The work needs to be independent and based on our own analysis. I’m formally withdrawing from this engagement effective immediately.” This was after he engaged another lawyer to handle his case. There was never any report issued and I withdrew from the engagement when it became clear that unless Mr. [redacted] could control our results he would not be happy. He was billed fairly for the work we did at his request.[redacted] [redacted]

I had my taxes done for 2013 here. My taxes aren't too complicated; some investments and interest earnings really. I know as much about taxes as a high school government student, so when they returned my taxes to me and told me how much I owed, I was willing to believe them. It seemed like way too much, even to me, so I glanced through everything. It took me 10 seconds to see that they had added a large sum under taxable income that should not have been there. There was a large amount added in my previous year's taxes that they had asked me about and I had told them it was a one time thing for the year before. They still asked that I show them the tax papers for it from the previous year (probably why my fee to them was so insanely high, they were redoing all of the work from the previous year....while apparently doing no work for the current year). Everything had been done properly the year before (I'm glad I paid for them to check that) and it was indeed a one time sum for the previous year (just as I had told them). They "accidentally" added the sum onto the current taxes...putting me into a whole new tax bracket and making my total almost $2,000 owed. After I had them correct this error (along with another ridiculous error regarding residency), I owed a total of $200. I never once got a phone call or an apology or an explanation (definitely not any refund!!!) from Allen, who just a few weeks before was oh so willing to help me and explained to me how everyone's taxes are checked multiple times before being given to him for a final scan.
I would recommend doing your own taxes if you are considering this company....even if you have never done them before you will probably do a better job.
