ASHLEE HORNICK, PA
I have been treated multiple times by Ashlee at Wilmington Health on Brahamn Av. Jacksonville, NC. I love her for her continued compassion, professionalism and “to the point” diagnosis and action plan. Ashlee allows you to have your own input unlike so many Physicians or Surgeons!
I wish to God that all Healthcare Providers could follow Ashlee’s very passionate medical care!
Without a doubt, I would very highly recommend Ashlee Hornick, PA for your Orthopedic issues!

Deceptive billing practices by billing me extra for weekend visit after being told I would be charged a normal copay. On 06/21/2014 I went to a Wilmington Health Office in Jacksonville, NC. I had never been to the office before, but it was on my way home from work and was told they were open on Saturday. I filled out the paperwork, provided my insurance card & info, and was told it would be a normal copay visit. I was seen by [redacted] PA-C for treatment for a [redacted] After paying my office co-pay I received a bill which included a $51.00 charge for a weekend visit. Never was I told there were "extra" charges for weekend visits nor is there a posting concerning this "extra" charge. When my husband called Wilmington Health at X-XXX-XXXX he was told they had requested the jacksonville office to post notice to patients concerning this "extra" charge, but they had not done so at this time. I could have visited an urgent care office for a $50.00 flat copay that would not have involved charges for a visit on a Saturday. I feel it was not only deceptive, but unprofessional for them to bill patients as such. If they are going to do this, there should be notification, especially when you are told it will be your normal office copay. I paid my copay at the time of the visit and was not advised of any "hidden fees" that would arrive later. I realize with medical treatment that there are fees for various things when you seek treatment. I expected to receive a charge for [redacted] for the [redacted] that was done. But never would I expect to receive a bill past my copay for a "weekend" visit! My husband was told we will be receiving another detailed bill, but was not told this "weekend" charge would be corrected. Thank you for your assistance with this matter.[redacted]acct #XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXDesired SettlementI would like the charge removed and for the business to notify the patients coming in that they will be charged these fees should they choose to receive treatment from them on weekends/evenings/holidays. It is deceptive to tell a patient the visit will be an office copay, accept the copay, and then bill later with these "added" fees such as this. Consumers deserve the right to make informed decisions and not being upfront and advising unsuspecting patients of charges such as this is deceptive and unprofessional!Business Response The patient has been in contact with our billing office and her claim is currently under review. Regarding the additional charge, although we apologize it was not effectively communicated to her that the charge would be included in her services for the day, it is our policy to charge it as we are within our rights to do so for providing services after normal business hours.Consumer Response I have received two phone calls concerning my billing questions and per the representative I spoke with I would be receiving an "updated" bill. I continue to await my updated bill so I am to conclude my claim is still under review. I understand the business is within it's rights to charge for delivered services. I continue to feel customers who seek care at Wilmington Health Clinic in Jacksonville, NC, should be made aware they will be billed for charges if the time is considered to be after normal business hours, weekends, or holidays and that such charges will be billed to the customer above the copay paid at the time of visit.
