Review: I purchased an Mayflower 8' X 11' Oval rug Camel (PG-53) on May 3, 2013 rug was delivered on approx. May 14, 2013. On Sat. May 25, 2013 I noticed some spots on the rug that were beginning to unravel. I contacted Rugs Direct about this problem and they asked me to supply photos of the problem and asked if I had pets of vacuumed the rug I told them I use a Dyson vacuum. The next day I received an email stating my claim was denied because I used a vacuum with a beater bar I told the Dyson uses a brush that said a brush is the same as a beater bar. They also said their website is very clear about the vacuums with a beater bar voids any warranty. I had to look very long and hard to find this hidden statement its listed at the bottom of the page under FAQ's. ( Talk about small type to screw the consumer )Desired Settlement: Return the defective rug for full credit

Review: I purchased a Shaw Mirabella Lisbon runner rug and the item I received did not look like the photo so I had to spend $14.87 to return the item. I contacted the company and they agreed that they did not look alike and stated it was because they showed a picture of a larger rug and I purchased a smaller version. They refused to pick up the item or pay return freight. The photo of this rug, on their website, was very detailed with thin lines. When I received the rug it had thick bold lines and lacked the detail. I was very disappointed that I would have to return the rug but it was ugly and was nothing like the on-line photo. I went on-line to get a Return Authorization and this company tried to charge me 3 times the rate to return the rug. I wrote them an e-mail that I would ship the rugs myself at 1/2 the rate. When they opened on Monday morning I sent a photo to [redacted] showing the difference in their photo and what the rug actually looked like. A supervisor named [redacted] said she'd looked at the photo and first said they looked the same and then said that they looked different because they show a photo of a larger size rug and I purchased a smaller rug. These people tried to cheat me by witholding $53.00 for return freight for 2 rugs which I paid $22.00 to return 2 rugs. The rug that did not look like the photo cost me $14.87 via [redacted] Ground.Desired Settlement: I want my $14.87 for return freight via [redacted] Ground refunded. This was the cheapest available method for return

On March 23rd I emailed rugs direct, copying myself, asking the status.

I received no response.

March 24th I called rugs direct and stayed on hold for 20 minutes until I hung up as the phone was not picked up.

March 26th I called again and was advised the item was on back order for over a month until at least May and was asked if I would like a 10% discount.Desired Settlement: Apologize to me for offering atrocious service
