Contractor has NOT provided delivery/installation of products partially paid for. Contractor does not reply to inquiring Emails or phone calls.Order was placed on 0/2/2014 for (7) blinds and (2) arch shutters.Contractor indicated at time of order that installation should be completed by Thanksgiving 2014.60% deposit was paid at time of order. Contractor had to take several measurements and produce paper pattern for shutters.Blinds were finally installed after the promised installation date in several different trips.Follow-up Emails and phone calls regarding delivery/installation of arch shutters were not returned.Customer obtained Area Representative of product purchased ([redacted] w/[redacted])and was told on 12/10/2014 that delivery should be on or soon after 12/18/2014. He indicated that because of problems with delivery that contractor should offer 15% discount.It is now 1/12/2014 and we still cannot get in touch with the Contractor after Emailing and leaving repeated messages.We want our shutters installed and if the contractor cannot provide the product we purchased,we want ALL items removed and a complete refund PLUS 15% returned to us ASAP so that we can take our business to someone who will provide the product and installation that we require. Originally I had hoped to do business with a local dealer/contractor, but after such poor service and communication I WILL NEVER DO BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY AGAIN!Desired SettlementInstall the remaining products we have ordered, communicate an installation date and if that date cannot be upheld notify us! We agree with the Dealer Rep that we should be granted a minimum of 15% discount on our total order and if installation is not COMPLETED by 1/17/2014 the discount should be increased by 5% for each week that final installation is not performed. If installation is not completed TOTALLY by 1/31/2014 refund our complete deposit and consider order complete.On Dec.2 [redacted] said delivery would be on Dec.8. On Dec. 10 [redacted] said delivery would be on Dec 18. On Jan.13 [redacted] said delivery would be on Jan 15, but they are at a "training Seminar" in Denver CO. Every "delivery date" passes by without delivery and when I call to find out why the Contractor sometimes returns my call several days later with a "new delivery date." This has gone on long enough!!!!!!!!!After 141 days, we finally received a call from the Contractor telling us that our shutters would be installed on Tuesday January 20th. Hopefully, this will complete our order with this company. Due to the lack of communication and cooperation with this company, I will NEVER do any business with them again nor will I recommend them to anyone. Contractor returned and presented wife a check for $1156.63 as a refund. Contractor returned later and informed wife that amount was incorrect and wanted to refund her more! Wife and contractor verbally agreed that initial check amount was good enough and that both parties were "good." Later that evening, contractors wife called and left message saying not to deposit check due to wrong amount. (wife had already deposited) After several phone messages wife replied via Email that we could write a check for the difference in what contractor paid for a refund and what was actually owed. Contractor replied via Email that they would pick up the check at 10:30 A.M. on Friday January 23. It is now 2:00 P.M. and we have not seen or heard from them.Business Response:Due to severe shipping issues caused by a dockworkers strike it took much longer than the usual 6-8 weeks in fabricating custom shutter arches for this customer. Window Wizards Custom Blinds was caught in the middle between the fabricator and the customer and was powerless to have any effect on the problem. Once I was alerted about the problem in December, I personally went over and finished installing a few valances for their faux blinds and told the customer our sales rep we would do a better job communicating with them on the status of their order. Unfortunately this never happened.The customer did speak in a very combative manner with my sales rep on several occasions even to the point of dictating what she would do regarding the order while she was professional and courteous throughout each one that I personally observed. The shutters finally did arrive the third week of January and wouldn't you know to add insult to injury they did not fit. The sales rep has undergone corrective training on proper arch measuring and template production and again on customer communication. Bottom Line: Window Wizards Custom Blinds failed to keep the customer informed in a manner that was acceptable to the customer. We will do our best to ensure this does not happen again in the future.To resolve this problem I personally went to the customer's home, apologized once again, and gave them a full refund of the deposit of the shutters and an additional $100 off the purchase of their original faux wood blind order.
