Concerns addressedWas determined no interior caulking was used on the exteriorOnly exterior caulking was used originally. All windows are sealed/caulked to the exterior, by way of applying a heavy bead of clear silicone caulking to the exterior surface before the new window is set against the exteriorThen additionally, brown caulking, for brown windows, is applied around the outside edge of the windowInstaller returned to apply brown caulking to one of the windows outer edge

Installation and performance of doors were tested, including cleaning of debris in the main frame/track where the slider operatesThe design of ALL sliding doors/AND windows are designed to catch water, from outside surface of glass, in the track were the sliding glass/frame separates the main frame/track from the exterior to the interiorThe tracks of ALL sliding doors (any manufacture) are designed to catch water, then drain to the exteriorThe weather performance of the doors were tested, and doors were performing as designedIf need be, the company will perform tests again, with BOTH homeowners present Living room door is below the height of outside substrightExterior substright above height of door may be causing/allowing water build up and seepage under doorThis would be a exterior substright issue, not a product or installation issue

Complaint: I am rejecting this response because: I understand that all doors would have a safe guard in place to allow water to escape however our issue is not that a little bit of water is captured but a lot of water is coming inside the track and into the house If this was truly a performing door then why did the installer come out different times in attempt to resolve the issue and ultimately involved the owner? I also disagree on the subtright comment regarding the living room slider Over the last couple of months, I've been putting a tarp against the slider The outside wall is still exposed to the rain while the tarp is preventing the water from hitting the sliderThere are no other water leakage, only when water is hitting doorI still believe either the sliders or the installation is faulty/incorrect As stated in my previous submission to the Revdex.com, I am purchasing sliders from another vendor I would like to return the sliders for a refund once the sliders are extracted Regards, A [redacted]

Living room door is below the height of outside substright. Exterior substright above height of door may be causing/allowing water build up and seepage under door. This would be a exterior substright issue, not a product or installation issue.

If this was truly a normal performing door then why did the installer come out 5 different times in attempt to resolve the issue and ultimately involved the owner?
I also disagree on the subtright comment regarding the living room slider.  Over the last couple of months, I've been putting a tarp against the slider.  The outside wall is still exposed to the rain while the tarp is preventing the water from hitting the slider. Review: Three windows installed, one was cut into the wall crooked. Owner came and said they would fix it. They sent a man who made a mess and now the window is even more crooked. One other window has a screen which is too small for the window, not wide enough and will let bugs in.Desired Settlement: I want a screen which fits the new installed window.

Review: Screen for new window is too small, allowing bugs to enter. Problem going for 2.5 years. New screen dropped off today in response to Revdex.com complaint filed last spring BUT this new replacement screen is too small as well, same size as wrong screen installed at window installation time, (2.5 years ago). Today a truck pulled up onto the driveway and a screen was dropped off and left for us to install. Well, it is too small.Desired Settlement: We want a screen that fits the window perfectly and we want it installed this year, 2014.

Response:

Asking factory to a just there tolerances for making screens 3/16 bigger for a snugger fit.

Review: I ordered new windows for my house. From the date of my order to the completion date, was supposed to be a month. I ordered on May 9th. On June 9th I called to check on when they would be installed. They pulled the installers off another job to come do my windows. They took the front windows out of my house and then had the new windows to install leaning against their truck which is when I noticed the kitchen window was wrong. But they had to install it since they had already taken the old one out. No one ever called to discuss trim with me around the windows in the front. Then the next day my bedroom window was not what I ordered. We decided to just keep the windows that had been installed and he would discount the difference in cost. It was very difficult to get in touch with tube owner Dan, we had to go by the store to talk to him. We decided on a trim with the installer and he put it on the windows outside. But the kitchen window that was wrong had a bigger gap at the top that their regular trim wouldn't cover so they had to special order it. They came over today and basically put 2 trims overlapping to make it fit. They were in a hurry for somewhere else they had to be. The installer called me last week to set up an appt for today and then never called to tell me what time and I called twice today before I got a call back. It is now July 25th and the job is still not finished.Desired Settlement: I want the job completed and done correctly.I have two windows that are crooked and the trim in the kitchen doesn't match the rest of the windows.
