Sincerely,

Review: I purchased a double window farm plus plants in mid November online. I received partial delivery mid November of the hardware. After attempting to contact the business by phone and email on multiple occasions with no reply I finally received more hardware in mid January. I am still missing crucial parts to build the Windowfarms and parts of what I have received are broken. The business emailed me to say I would not be receiving the plants and have so far not bothered to reply to my emails about the parts. They said they would send a cheque to refund the plants but have not done so. In summary over two months after spending $411 dollars with this business I have yet to receive what I paid for. I want a full refund so I can wash my hands of this entire transaction.Desired Settlement: Refund of $411 dollars paid.

Review: I was a backer of windowfarms on kickstarter. I paid them $118 with the promise they would ship a windowfarm to me in Canada. In November, 2012 they shipped them to American backers. The last email I received from Windowfarms was on December *, 2012 when I was told that they were working on a solution to get the products to Canada. "We are not ignoring you as a Canadian backer, nor have we forgotten you! While we are doing our best to be transparent, it is not realistic for us to report each step forward or backward that we make in our shipping contract negotiations, and thus our silence for the past month or so while we have been working to sort this all out. As soon as we have anything more concrete to report, I promise we will make a public announcement to our group of international backers. In the meantime, please continue to believe in us and the mission we are all on together. Please trust in our shared vision, and continue to have patience as we work on a solution to get you your Windowfarm." Since then I've heard nothing from Windowfarms. They refuse to answer emails.Desired Settlement: I would like to receive my windowfarm.

Review: Backed this business up on kickstarter and paid close to $203 for their product. This was back in 2011. So far after last update over 6 months ago this company have stopped updating their Canadian customers and have not responded to multiple emails.Desired Settlement: Refund or ship the products that they promised.

Sincerely,

Review: On December [redacted], 2011, I paid $169USD to receive a 2-column window farm by the Spring of 2012, as was advertized and guaranteed on the website [redacted].

Early in 2012, they let us know that the delivery date would be postponed. In the summer of 2012, they indicated that Canadian customers would have to wait until a new shipping date in the fall of 2012. They gave us a July deadline to pay the required shipping fees, at which time I paid an additional $34 USD for shipping.

On December [redacted], 2012, after indicating further delays, they offered a choice for Canadian customers: wait indefinitely for their windowfarms, or receive a refund.

I asked for a refund on January [redacted], 2013, and received a reply saying that I would receive a refund in up to 60 days. After that failed to take place, I replied again on March [redacted], asking for my refund to be reimbursed. I received no answer. I sent subsequent emails on April [redacted] and on May [redacted], and have yet to receive any replies.

On August [redacted], I contacted Windowfarms via [redacted] and let them know I would be in New York and could pick up the item in person, avoiding any shipping complications at Canadian customs. I received no response.

This company has failed to deliver the service they contracted to undertake, and they have failed to engage in any responsible communications for 8 months. I am very concerned that they have no intention of honoring their obligation and the $203 USD that they received.

I hope that we can find a prompt and suitable resolution to this situation.Desired Settlement: I am asking for completion of the contract in an immediate manner, or refund of all sums paid. This would be entail either A) a full refund of the $169 plus $34 I paid in shipping costs, or B) immediate delivery of my product, a 2 column window farm, as was initially purchased.

Sincerely,

Review: I funded Windowfarms via Kickstarter. Windowfarms has stated that they have been able to fulfill their commitments to USA based supporters, however it would appear that all 153 Canadians who supported funding in Kickstarter have not received thier product.

Moreover, Windowfarms has ceased to communicate with their Canadian customer - silent for over a year!

Sincerely,

Review: Th Wondowfarm company launched a crowdfunding project via [redacted] in 2011. The regulations in the Kickstarter terms&conditions states that "..."Is a creator legally obligated to fulfill the promises of their project? Yes. Kickstarter's Terms of Use require creators to fulfill all rewards of their project or refund any backer whose reward they do not or cannot fulfill. (This is what creators see before they launch.) We crafted these terms to create a legal requirement for creators to follow through on their projects, and to give backers a recourse if they don't. We hope that backers will consider using this provision only in cases where they feel that a creator has not made a good faith effort to complete the project and fulfill." I backed the project with 169$ for an international delivery of a Windowfarm kit. First the company communicated delays in the production, but since December 2012 they stopped communicating altogether. Despite several emails, [redacted] and [redacted] messages, filling out online customer support forms on their website I never heard back from them, and I never received my Windowfarm Kit.Desired Settlement: I would love a Winfowfarm, however, I'm by now I would be happy with a refund as well!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Review: In late 2011, Windowfarms offered a product on Kickstarter. In return for pledging money to help pay for the manufacturing of the product, you would receive one of the finished products. This was open to everyone, not just those located in the United States. There was an additional $19 required to ship the product to Canada, however that was the only caveat. There were significant delays in completing the product, however we were assured that the product would be completed and those that pledged would receive a product when it was finished. When the product was finished, people outside the US were told that they would be receiving theirs after the people in the US received theirs. After continued delays, those people in Canada were emailed at the start of 2013 and told that they would be receiving their products soon, however if you wanted a refund to contact them. I delayed contacting them for a refund as I wanted to wait it out for a bit longer and see if I would get the product. On March [redacted], 2013, I formally requested a refund and have not heard from them since. I have emailed them numerous times without success. There are many others affected: http[redacted]Desired Settlement: Please refund the total cost that I spent on the item ($118 USD, around $123 Canadian dollars) so that I can move on with my life and forget that this ever happened.

Sincerely,

Review: Non delivery since Dec, 2011. Ignoring all emails, calls and posts to myself and 155 other Canadians who supported their kickstarter campaignDesired Settlement: Either delivery of product of full refund and apology (public) for promising delivery then stating on their website that they won't ship out of country.

There are people ripped off in Canada, Netherlands, Germany, Israel and more.
