damage was caused to my vehicle the installation of the windshield, and the repairman did not leave the antenna or let me know that he had broken it.Mr [redacted] replaced the windshield in my 2004 Chevy Surburban at my home on 2/22/14. At that time he broke my antenna on the truck. He did not make anyone aware of this at the time of replacement. I called him on Sunday to ask where my antenna was and he told me that he was going to give me a call on Monday to tell me he broke it. I tried to replace the antenna at which time I was told by an authorized Chevrolet dealer, at that time I found out that the antenna is in 2 pieces that can not be replaced without pulling out part of the dash. At which time I asked if they could give me an estimate. I called Mr [redacted] and informed him of the cost and he said he would go to a junk yard and get another antenna to just screw it in. I carried the truck to the dealer and they explained that the antenna could not be replace by just screwing in another. The base and mast are one piece. I called Mr [redacted] to inform him of the problem that I had run into and the amount it would cost to replace, at which time he told me he was not going to reimburse me my cost to replace the antenna. He said he was not responsible for the damages to my car. I have since sent him a letter with a copy of the bill from [redacted] Chevorlet and I have had no response from him at all. I have been nothing but nice regarding this matter and I feel like he should pay me for the damages that he caused to my vehicle. Which were $294.00 which I paid myself. My radio will not work without an antenna.Desired SettlementI would like for Mr [redacted] to please reimburse me for the damages that he did to my vehicle.Business Response Windshield Doctor has contacted their insurance company and they will contact the consumer and they will investigate it.Consumer Response this claim has not been satisfied. I have not received any follow up from the insurance adjuster. I will continue to keep this claim open until I have received a check in the amount of $294.00 Final Business Response Mr. [redacted] called and said that the insurance company sent the check to an incorrect address. It has since been sent to the correct address and the consumer should have it. The business will mail in his final response as he wants to tell his side of the story.
