Review: It was the oil delivery that was done on Dec. [redacted] of 2013, we could not believe that Windsor co. fill up our tank for 193 gallon when according to the gauge our tank is not even 4/8. The tank hold 275 gal. so it's impossible that they put in 193 gal. I told them that we are not trying to dispute the whole amount. I will pay what I know is right. Jan [redacted], we called them because the tank according to the gauge is 4/8 and they fill up for 144 gal so how could they put in 193 gal in Dec ** when it was not even half of the tank. I was told over the phone on my conversation with the costumer service representative that if we do not pay this amount they will terminate our contract, no oil delivery and bring it to the collection agency.Desired Settlement: We will pay the amount of 4/8 of the tank like they just did on Jan [redacted] which we know is reasonable.

Response:

On 12/**/13 we delivered 193.2 gallons to [redacted]’s home. [redacted] has been an account with Windsor Fuel since 2003 and as per her contractual terms the account is set up on an automatic delivery basis. Based on her prior years delivery history and the “degree day system”, we are able to accurately monitor when a customer is due for delivery. Deliveries are made automatically when the customer’s tank is between half or a quarter tank according to our system, not the customer’s tank gauge which is not an accurate or reliable source. On 12/**, two weeks after the delivery was made, [redacted] called stating that she checks her tank gauge periodically to see when she is due for oil and normally her deliveries are in the 140 gallon range at a time and she felt that it was impossible the tank took 193 gallons. After explaining to her that our oil trucks are computerized and monitored by the department of weight and meas ures we sent a service man out to the home to physically stick the tank that evening. The tank on 12/** was ¾ full and [redacted] was pleased with the service mans tank reading. [redacted] was also sent a copy of her delivery history from the prior 4 years and it was explained to her that in years where the weather was colder we made deliveries that were over 140 gallons each.

On 1/*/14 [redacted] called Windsor to make another delivery to her home. On 1/[redacted] stated that she does not want to pay for the 193 gallon delivery and that she would pay us for 140 gallons worth of oil because that’s what she feels we delivered based on her prior bills. To date we received full payment for the 193 gallons and a letter from another company stating [redacted] has terminated her account with us.
