Wineinger Eyecare10:AM (minutes ago)tomeAstrid,We got another Revdex.com regarding this case, so we're thinking you didn't get our response from last week:In regards to the patient in this case, we feel that we went above and beyond our requirements in trying to come to anamicable agreement for him.The original glasses were purchased thru his vision insurance in July of We never anything from him that his glassesweren't working for him until he showed back up in the office in April So in months we never heard a word that the glasses weren't workingor providing him with what he expected His vision insurance gives him months to get glasses remade at no cost He missed that window Sincewe try to ensure every patient leaves our office satisfied, we agreed to remake his glasses into a different form of correction and not charge him anything Thiscost was directly paid by my business His insurance didn't provide us any payment towards the remake of his glasses months after he got them There are a lotof things that can change in the eyes in months and we offered to recheck his prescription (he denied) as well as talk about other options He agreed to have the glassesremade into reading glasses, without any mention of money back weeks after getting them, taking them and using them, he called in demanding all of his money back This is against our office policy when different things happen He missed the window on getting them remade/refunded through his vision care plan He denied allowing us to work with him to identify other options He allowed us to remake the lenses into reading lenses.With that being said, we will be willing to refund him the difference between what he would have paid for the original pair if they were made as reading glasses and what he paid for multifocal lenses But we will not be providing a full refund because of the reasons stated above.If you have any further questions, please reach out to [redacted] ***, our head optician at [redacted] Thanks,Wineinger EyecareQuivira RoadShawnee, KS 66216913-631-0090www.eyesofkc.com
