Complaint: [redacted]
I am rejecting this response because:My husband spoke to [redacted], not me. The money that was given to [redacted] was given to [redacted] or [redacted]'s employees by me, not my husband, Mr. [redacted]. I purchased the truck for my husband as a "surprise" in other words without his permission, or knowledge with the intention that it didn't need more than $1300 in work. I understand accidents happen, I understand things happen that we cant predict, the only reason my husband became involved was because the estimate increased to $3500, but that was without a tune up and without windshields being replaced- so roughly all in all $4500. I told my husband that I would pay for the repairs this is why I gave the money to [redacted] as payment. And when I say payment, I mean giving him the money as a bill until the entire balance was paid forward and he had ALL the money to do the repairs we hired him for. When I purchased the vehicle which was on 05/22/17, I drove the vehicle home. It was after I drove the vehicle home that it wouldn't start. I called [redacted] as I know that he sometimes does towing and the truck was parked in a location that prevented me from leaving with any other vehicles or even getting any vehicles on my property. A towing company towed the truck to [redacted]'s that night. The next day we came in to talk to him to see why the truck wouldn't start. That issue was never determined but numerous other problems were found. Since this incident, the truck has been repaired and I have a list of repairs that was preformed and that needed, the amount of work that [redacted] thought needed to be done doesn't come close to the work that was done. Both axles were replaced, a connector to the axles, a tune up, and the linkage was fixed for $950 parts and labor. The linkage and the tune up was not included in the $3500 bid. Because of this, because of the way he talked to my husband, I am personally wanting a refund. There was no agreement on the time frame the truck could sit there or when the money would be paid. As you can imagine, any business is eager to get work- we had discussed and previously failed numerous start dates, but I stressed NOT to do anything to the truck until it was paid in FULL! He's not out of any time, effort....just a estimate or a hope for work- but we all make plans and life happens, that doesn't give us permission to pop out of the blue with expenses. I didn't know the truck was for sale until April 17th, 2017. The original price that was being asked was out of our price range.  It sat at [redacted]'s as the property of the guy, I purchased the truck until the May 22nd date. From May 22nd until July 25th, the truck parked in the parking lot of [redacted]'s shop. So roughly 2 months. Not the 6 months he's alleging, I'm not denying that it sat there that long, but as my possession, my responsibility- it did NOT! We took two other of our other vehicles in to [redacted] within this 2 month period to have work preformed on them and paid it with cash, separate from the money I deposited with him. He didn't preform any work for the money he's kept, didn't have any losses for anything that was purchased for the truck, therefore I am disagreeing with [redacted] and asking again that this somehow be resolved. Even if it's talking to me, not my non-understanding and tempered husband.
Sincerely,
[redacted]

Mr [redacted] has been a long time customer, we set up a list of repairs ,and also offered him a payment plan. He left his truck at my shop for 6 months, due to his family falling on hard times. I asked the consumer to pick up the vehicle until they could afford to pay for the repairs. I agreed to...

waive the storage fee's , however the consumer sent  me  a message insisting I excepted the $400.00 as payment  for the storage.
