Winslow Property Management Reviews (4)

We began renting from [redacted] of Winslow Properties nearly 4 months ago. I can honestly say, [redacted], has been the most wonderfully pleasant property manager/landlord I have ever had the good fortune of dealing with. Not only is she a great property manager/landlord and easy to come to with questions, it is easy to tell that is a very good person in general. She has quite a handful of properties she manages and she still never fails to respond to any communications in a prompt and timely. We are so fortunate to have [redacted] as our property manager/landlord. I would recommend renting from her to any of my closest friends and family.

I had one of the worst experiences in trying to lease a home from [redacted]of Winslow Property Management.
She showed us a 4 bedroom home she was managing for rent in Ventura. We were the first family to be shown the home as well as the first to respond to her Craigslist posting.
At the time of viewing the home, she asked if we were interested, and we said "Yes". She gave us applications and informed us of the application fee of $25/person. I immediately gave her cash for the application fee and told her I would be sending over the application that evening along with all of the income verification she requested. [redacted]told us, as soon as she got home from the property she would "take it off the market and remove the Craigslist ad". She assured us that there shouldn't be any problems and even said she thought we would be happy in the home.
The next day she contacted us via email asking for an additional phone number for one of our previous landlords and complaining about all of the phone calls she received for people interested in looking at the home that she apparently did not remove from Craigslist.
I promptly provided her with a replacement phone number, and additional documentation. Several hours later she emails me and says "We have another set of apps. They are completed fully and we have no questions. We are going to proceed with the second set of applications."
She never bothered calling us to say she was showing the house to other people even though she told us she was taking it off the market. Furthermore, she said we were not "denied" but "may not get the house" since one of the reference phone numbers we provided on our application wasn't working at the time she tried calling it.
As a mother of 3 and resident of the Ventura area for 8 years, I've never encountered such an unprofessional and unethical dealing with a business. It is a very competitive rental market in Ventura, and we have been looking for 6 months to find a home that fit our size/price needs so our kids could continue going to school in Ventura. Its very disheartening that [redacted]blatantly lied to us and furthermore prevented us from renting the home from her client.
If you are considering using her property management service to rent a home in Ventura, I strongly urge you to look elsewhere as she appears to have very unethical business practices and you could find yourself in the same position as our family.
