Great service technician, terrible management. We paid $115 for a chimney sweep and inspection on January 2, 2015 and were told everything was in great working order and we could start burning fires. We made a point to buy the best wood, oak. Within burning a few fires we experienced smoke back in the house. We had them come back to double check their work and they found that the cap is inadequate for the chimney being that it was too short and suggested we replace it with one that would take care of the smoke issue. I was then asked to pay $50 for a service fee. However, they already had known it was too short and did not recommend that fix on their initial chimney inspection. That would have saved me this second service call and the extra costs associated. They should have stood by their initial inspection and realized that they did not do a thorough job initially. Add to that The fact that when I talked to their co-owners, husband and wife of course, they started yelling at me when I simply asked them to invoice me so I could either pay later or submit it to the homeowners (we rent) for the, to pay. They refused to do so and continued yelling at me over the phone and ultimately providing rude and unbelievably unprofessional customer service. I ultimately had to write the service technician a check, and feel extremely cheated and lied to by Wizard's Hearth and Home. I will not be using their services again, and I will spread my negative experience with all of my friends, family, and co-workers. Terribly unprofessional.

I originally called the company about 6 months ago for a chimney sweep and wood stove cleaning. They came out, but their ladder wasn't tall enough. We rescheduled and the second time they came, their ladder was AGAIN, not tall enough. The third time they came out, I wasn't around and I left the key in a lock box on the front door. I was promised by the owner, [redacted], that he would be the ONLY one with the lock box information, and he promised he would be the only one to come out to do the service. He lied... he sent an employee out, who had trouble with the lockbox and instead of letting me know, left our home unlocked for over 24 hours! The owners were very apologetic initially, but then repeatedly failed to follow up with me about some parts they were supposed to order for me, for the stove. I called this evening to follow up, and was understandably frustrated about the continued lack of reasonable service. I was told to "have a nice life" and then hung up on.
Please please steer clear of this awful company!

Wizards gave me a quote after an on site inspection for installing a wood stove.A week later they had called to tell me that it may cost more and when I asked how much because the competition was now going to be similar cost, they said it would be fine and they could do it for the original quote. Over a month later upon arrival on install day, I was told that it would have to be done differently and would cost $2100 more. I wanted it done as originally discussed and quoted and was given the runaround and had my calls avoided for over a week. I had to chase them down to talk to the owner and was told that now it would be at least a month before they could even come back to take another look and more measurements. Throughout the experience, I realized and had confirmed by some comments they made that it was misquoted, but they chose to push me aside and avoid me until I asked for my deposit back rather than be upfront about their mistake and try to work something out with me. This was completely unprofessional and frustrating to say the least.
