Review: In our opinion work done after a "supposedly" complete appraisal of the required work on our 1960's MERCEDES fell far short of the cost. We are Completely dissatisfied with customer service. Work took longer than quoted. Cost was higher than quoted. When we asked for the old parts back the business said they couldn't due to the fact that they had to manufacture some of the parts, but they didn't have to manufacture the parts they "removed". Auto mobile wouldn't even start a month after we picked up the car. Asked Wolfe's to mitigate the problem and were told we had to bring a non responsive vehicle that they repaired back to the shop. They would not make any attempt to come fix the vehicle or make arrangements to pick it up. When we tried to contact the business to express our displeasure and to try to get satisfaction we were ignored. Had to call back more than once to get anyone to even talk to us.Desired Settlement: We wish to make others aware of our opinion that the work performed was overpriced and is shoddy at best and our opinion that their business practices are not above the floor much less above board.

Nov 11 15 03:40p Wolfe's Foreign Auto ###-###-#### To whom it may concern: In response to [redacted] complaint on here recent car repairs, I have spoken with [redacted] to try and remedy the issues she has. There has been some miscommunication along the way and I feel we can take care of the problems she's having. In response to some of the complaints she has I would first like to clarify a few things. She has complained about the price and time period of the repairs. [redacted] was given an "estimate" on restoration repairs. This vehicle has sat for a very long time and needed a lot of work to get started and be safe to drive. We ran into multiple issues with getting rare hard to find parts and other issues that popped up from the car sitting. You have to remember also that the car did not run either. I kept her up to date along the way, so there was no lack of communication. When the car would not start for her she asked me to come to the house to look at the vehicle. I explained to her that I couldn't do that because all my tooling is at the shop and 1 did not know what tools 1 would need since I didn't know the issue. She was also never ignored and I always returned her cal! in a prompt fashion, sometimes leaving message's that I think they may not have gotten at times. Unfortunately l cannot give my full attention to it 24 / 7 since I do have other customers to take care of as well. I had also told her that the vehicle would smoke when it was cold due to the fact that the valve seals were dry from it sitting so long. I would take some time and lots of miles for that to gradually stop. We did not do any internal work to the engine and was told to not do anymore work on the vehicle since they had no more money to spend at this time. It is not a serious issue at all. We are going to have the vehicle towed to the shop to see what the issue is with it not starting. I have never once said that I would not look at the vehicle or help to remedy the problem. I do take offense to some of the negative remarks she made and I hope she will apologize at some point for them. We did a lot of work to this car and multiple repairs that she was never charged for, you have to remember this car hadn't ran in years and we brought it back to life. They drove it an hour home from our shop and had no issues. Something happened shortly after, but that can be expected with a 40 year old car.
