Review: Discovered that requesting to get medical records sent from this practice to another practice was the most unnecessarily difficult thing to get done. Sent a FAX to them, per their instructions on the phone to their FAX number [redacted] with my information on it and the FAX the records were to be sent to. I also included numbers and e-mails to reach me in case they had any questions. This week, I get a piece of mail stating that there's a charge of $5 and to let them know what I'd like to do. I called and told them, take payment and send the records! Spoke with [redacted] who took my Credit Card information and assured me that I wouldn't be charged unless they sent the information. When I voiced my concern that I didn't want to be charged unless they actually sent the items she assured me that the lady sending would call to confirm -- that was yesterday afternoon. Today, I see they took my money, but didn't send the records to the FAX number I provided yet. Left a message on the voicemail. My question is, seeing there are sooooo many ladies working in that office, why can't they get a simple FAX sent out without so much drama. I checked online and I'm not the only person complaining about this issue.Desired Settlement: I'd like my money back or some kind of confirmation that my FAX was sent as I requested. I'd also like for them to change their business practices. Instead of rudely asking for money before providing for terrible services, they should get their act together and make it worthwhile for people to visit them. Otherwise it's a waste of everyone's time and energy.

Response:

The initial request was received in our office on 5/**/13 & logged into patient's account on 5/**/13. Our procedure, as indicated on the recording includes the legal fees of 75 cents per page. The recording also specifically states that the turn around time is 5-7 business days after payment is received.

Ms. [redacted] records were mailed on 6/*/13 after several attempts to fax them to the number she provided. Additionally, my medical records clerk tried again this morning, to fax & it DID go through. I have confirmation if needed. I have documentation in her chart that the records were mailed on 6/*/13.

The fee will not be returned as the service was provided within the time frame that we CLEARLY state in our recorded message.

Please advise if you would like the confirmation of the fax that was sent @ 9:55am, today 6/*/13 and the documentation of the mailing that was noted in her chart. Please be aware that our charts are electronically signed & dated so the date is real time.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID# [redacted], and have determined that my complaint has NOT been resolved because:

[Your Answer Here]

I don't believe they EVER tried sending the info in the first place via FAX. They only tried covering their butts after I paid them for a service that WASN'T rendered in the time frame they provided because of my complaint. In my FAX request, I asked them to let me know via E-mail, or phone call to confirm the receipt of my request and also to let me know if they had any questions. And they NEVER let me know they were having trouble sending the FAX to the number I indicated. They just sent the info to my home address. Unnecessary hassle. I'm not asking for my money back but rest assured I won't EVER go back to that poor excuse for a medical office. They have to change their "business" practices and be more forthright with their customers/patients. IF they say they're going to do something, they should do it! How long does it take to FAX something anyway? NOT LONG AT ALL! WASTE OF MY TIME which is more valuable than the $5 I lost!!!

Review: Still getting requests for payment for things I don't know anything about. They sent me a blurb stating I owe $35 but no details.Desired Settlement: I haven't visited their location for months and therefore have not accrued any outstanding or past due amount. They need to leave me alone or do billing faster because I didn't receive any services from them and paid what was due on the day I visited.

Response:

At this time, I have been contacted directly by Women for Women regarding complaint ID [redacted], however my complaint has NOT been resolved because:

They never sent me an itemized bill so that I'd know what I was paying for. They only insisted that I pay. AFTER I paid is when I received the itemized bill and receipt. I hate their service. They should get an "F" rating. I actually don't want to hear from them ever again so please close this complaint. They may just send me another bogus letter in the mail about how my payment is late!
